Fanon question
Edit
The modified CR90 was a common sight in the X-wing games, but where is it named the Assassin-class? --SparqMan 17:51, 5 Dec 2005 (UTC)
- In all sources I meet name Assassin and Modifited is used for CR90a, so it is cannon name. More details should provide that wookiepedian who made Corellian Engineering Corporation article.
- It's a little late, but I finally found the source for the name. TIE Fighter, Battle 11 (Hunt for Zaarin), Mission 3 (Bait and Switch). From the mission dialogue, "Five Assassin class M/CRVs just entered, we're in trouble!" I still haven't seen them called CR90a, so that's probably fanon. —Darth Culator (talk) 18:01, 20 January 2006 (UTC)
- Actually I would say that the Assassin-Class name was used before TIE Fighter, Battle 11, Mission 3. In the very first TIE Fighter Demo which was a 2 floppy disc install, the designation was used to describe the Imperial (Modified) Corvette which in the demo mission was the TIE Fighter flying player's mothership. In-universe the demo mission takes place during the assault on Hoth. TIE Fighter the game starts in the Hoth aftermath. In the demo mission briefing (the FLIGHT.HLP file) it is written: "Our starfighters are to be launched from Assassin-class Corvettes because all of the large capital ships in the sector are being used at Hoth." --Davidvcsandersen 00:20, December 6, 2009 (UTC)

Why was this article moved from CR90a Assassin-class corvette?? MoffRebus 22:41, 26 April 2006 (UTC)
- Because we found a source for "Assassin-class," but not for "CR90a." -- Darth Culator 23:42, 26 April 2006 (UTC)
- If CR90a is not canon, then it shouldn't be in the article title or the article itself. Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

- One more thing is that while Assassin is a Modified Corvette, I cannot recall any source stating that every M/CRV is an Assassin. It seems that it's just one of many modifications available to the CR90 standard. NLoriel 07:12, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

About main image: Is that planet in Star Wars: X-wing Alliance??? I doubt. I think that it is some kind of mix of oryginal ship and Saturn + stars in background. Del it! SkywalkerPL 17:08, 27 April 2006 (UTC)
- According to User:Dengar Antilles, it's from Star Wars: X-wing Alliance. Why don't you ask him? Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

That's from XWA, the plane does look like Saturn, they likely used some of the Solar System as inspiration for backgrounds. Note that in the Kuat mision the planet would be Jupiter if not for a different coloring. -SWF
- Now that's stupid—putting actual planets into Star Wars. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

Source?
Edit
Whatever source was originally being cited in the article has apparently been removed. Does anyone know what it might have been?--Horizon986 19:05, December 19, 2011 (UTC)
- Source fixed, for future reference, RECG always refers to the Rebellion Era Campaign Guide to my knowledge. Zeta1127 of the 89th Legion (talk) 20:17, December 19, 2011 (UTC)
