Has there ever been a retcon explaining why, if these are a newer model than the 74-Z speeder bikes, the Empire was using the older bikes in the Original Trilogy? Jwebb13 14:17, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
No. There was one major problem with making the original trilogy first—the fact that technology would change over time. Thus, the prequel trilogy was destined to have more advanced technology. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax(Imperial Holovision) 16:07, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
Just wondering: which are the more advanced, the BARCs or the 74-Zs? Before someone starts accusing me of trying to start a forum-esque thread, I'm merely saying this as to prevent speculation being added to the article. Thank you. Unit 8311 21:23, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
As I understand it, the BARCs are bulkier and more heavily armed than the 74-Z, but I believe the 74-Z, while still manufactured during the Clone Wars, was developed after the BARC. - JMAS 21:34, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
74-Zs were used on Geonosis and elsewhere during the first months of the war, so I think they came first - \\Captain Kwenn//— Ahoy! 21:35, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
No, the egg came first. Fishies lay eggs too! But in seriousity, perhaps the Empire found that BARCs cost too much to produce and stayed with the possibly cheaper 74-Zs. Still, only speculation.. Darth Zaktius 03:31, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
I have the "Attack on Endor" star wars miniatures rules, and in page 27, the old rpg game stats classifies it as an Airspeeder instead of speeder [ground], so it looks like it is a swoop. Because that I think it should be change from repulsorlift to swoop category. Im not sure about the new rpg rules if it has changed again. Please anyone confirm --Metalion 18:17, January 14, 2010 (UTC)
I think perhaps the article needs an edit, again the barc was clearly a clone war vehicle even though it's stated as being rise of the empire as was shown in the tresspass episode amongst others. I'm still trying to figure out the rules so I need some one else to check into it. The order of vehicles however is not necessarily the order in which they were made. Besides, the empire is likely to go to the least expensive model as it is geared toward quantity not quality.Tol-Roken 22:59, July 27, 2010 (UTC)
