Designation
Edit
With an A-designation, wouldn't he be an ARC trooper? Lieutenant Gerard 16:50, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
- I would have thought so. All other A-units are Alpha-class ARCs. Maybe he got demoted? Or maybe had to swap his ARC armor for regular Phase I armor during his solitude? - Kwenn 17:09, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
- Alpha-class was only a hundred troopers, so A-1707 can't be an ARC designation. -LtNOWIS 17:39, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
- Who came up with the name "A-1707", anyway? Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 19:51, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
- In this case "A-" stands for his nickname "Able", not for Alpha-class ARC Troopers. —Unsigned comment by 24.54.238.129 (talk • contribs).
- True, but still, the "A-" part is confusing. Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 01:54, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

Move?
Edit
In Star Wars Rebellion 2: My Brother, My Enemy, Part 2, he goes by Able, which makes me think that after joining the Rebel Alliance he took it on as his new name. With that in mind, should we move this to Able? —Unsigned comment by SparqMan (talk • contribs).
- I have to disagree with this one. Considering other clones that had names (ex. Bly for CC-5052), it was more of a nickname than an actual name. I think that when he joined the Alliance, he just used his nickname so people wouldn't have to remember his designation. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

Hair
Edit
Does Able dye his hair after joining the Alliance, or is it just a coloring error in that third pic? The first two show him with grey hair (as one would expect in a man who's the equivalent of 66 years old), but the bottom one shows him with brown hair. Red XIV 09:15, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
- Definitely a dye job. —Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

The appearance lists has this on it. Could someone edit the article to reflect this?--CT-5619 helmet comlink 01:53, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

Why'd they kill him off?Sith-venator1:27 9-13-08
- Let me tell you a story. It's of the folks over at Hasbro and a series known as Transformers. There was this one transformer who's name was Optimus Prime. He was calm, nice, smart, and a leader. When the first transformer movie rolled around, it was also the end of the current product cycle. To introduce the new product line, they first had to remove the old. So at the end of the movie, the bad guy cheap-shotted Optimus, in a situation he could've handled anytime in a regular episode. Needless to say, Hasbro was surprised to find that some kids were very fond of him, to the point of tears at his death. And so, millions of children learned to never get attached to any character in their favorite series, because odds are they will get killed to give some writer who was never young his jollies. 70.179.98.58 02:48, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
Thats a sad story,But i dont read comics,Im just saying he could've done alot more for the Rebellion then Being so talented just to get turned into monster. Sith-venator 17:30, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
Maybe just one day, a Ship will be named in his honor. Like Commander Narra. (CybertronianJedi 22:38, 3 November 2008 (UTC))
My point is that they'll kill off any character they want, for any reason they want, and don't always care. All they need to do is say 'oh, the galaxy is a mean place', and it's all forgiven. As for naming a ship after him, I think the point of the character is that he's a regular soldier, nothing special as far as he's concerned. He wouldn't want the recognition. 70.179.98.58 02:54, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
I guess that's true, Able wouldn't get a ship named after him. Also, I would like to add that at least he was missed by Luke.CybertronianJedi 14:32, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
Death?
Edit
I know Able was still physically alive after his infection, but I think he is mentally dead. When you turn into a rakghoul, it robs you of your mentality and free will, so wouldn't he be dead?(68.202.113.72 18:56, 26 August 2009 (UTC))
Ultimate Fate
Edit
When Vector continued in Star Wars Legacy, in issue #28 page 1, the Rakghoul skeleton sitting in front of Celeste and to her left appears to be wearing Able's armor. There's nothing specificially stating it, but I believe we're meant to interpret that to be his corpse. I came here looking to see mention of it in the article or discussion page and I'm surprised not to. Perhaps a scan of the picture is in order with a notation questioning if that is him. Any thoughts? Medleystudios72 14:37, February 15, 2010 (UTC)
