Talk:BT-16 perimeter droid

Actually, if you watch ANH with the English subtitles, the stormtroopers are talking about a "VT-16". Prudii2043 17:59, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
- Doesn't the subtitles also misspell "Kenobi" at one point? Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

- in the german version they also say VT-16. I don't know how it is in the subtitles. (was on tv tonight ;) ) I've to look it up in the english version... Fleetadmiral Jack Ryan 00:06, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
- Well, it may be "VT-16", now that I think about it. —Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

- From the pronounciation its far easier to differentiate betwenn a "b" and a "v" in german than in english. If you say they use the written english script for the translation (what they most likely do) then it could be "VT", but of course you always have translation mistakes... (but it's unlikely with a simple letter). But anyway if it is "VT" then we have no idea what a "VT-16" is, right? Fleetadmiral Jack Ryan 07:03, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

- I believe the script said "BT". VT-16 12:46, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
- Any chance we could find a copy of the original script? —Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

Aren't the DVD subtitles considered to be the latest canon source? Remember Dack Ralter vs Dak Ralter. Mauser 18:12, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
Hoth Spider Droid
Edit
It may not be possible, but if these type spider droids were in service to the Empire, is it possible that this is a BT-16? Just a question. -Darthtyler
- Might be, but the only ones known so far, have six legs, not eight. VT-16 21:49, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
Security Droid vs the monks brain carrier
Edit
I was just writing the article about the BT-16 Perimeter Security Droid in the (german) Jedipedia, when i realised, that you merged it with the (also) BT-16 droid that carries around the brains in Jabbas hut. But by comparison there are several things that missmatch here, i.e. the size, wich should be 2.3 metres with the security one. Maybe you should think about unmerging those two... I think at least, that they are two different (although related) productions. Darth Pandora 13:50, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- I think the B'omarr monks use the leg and engine apparatus from the security droids. VT-16 18:32, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
