Look, I like that picture as much as the next guy, but wouldn't a regular headshot be a little more...encyclopedic? -- Ozzel 02:19, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
- I agree. Do you have a candidate? – Aidje talk 21:21, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
- More encyclopedic? No I don't think so, no. Wikipedia is not censored, and Bai Ling is notable for posing for Playboy, thus it's appropriate to show the cover. 69.34.163.82 16:44, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
- Whether or not is shows blatant nudity is irrelevant. It shows the cover of an adult magazine; a magazine which is illegal to sell, distribute or even allow a minor to view. And since Wookieepedia us viewed by fans of all ages, it is completely inappropriate to have that image in the article. Period. Anyone puts it back in, and I will remove it. - JMAS 17:05, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
- While I disagree with JMAS (Playboy *covers* aren't covered up when displayed in stores and are viewable by minors), it shouldn't be the infobox picture. Her existence isn't defined by her appearance there. jSarek 17:12, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
- Actually, legally they are supposed to be covered in the store, with only the title of the magazine visable. It's not enforced, however. I know this because I know people who own a convenience store. But regardless, the last thing we want is some 11 year old kids mother looking over his shoulder while he's surfing Wookieepedia and freak out seeing that image. It poses the possibility of becoming a *pardon the pun* sticky situation. - JMAS 17:36, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

About the spelling of Ling Bai or Bai Ling's name
Edit
In a minor edit of this subject I stated that Bai Ling's surname is Bai and not Ling. I appreciate JMAS's attention to this minor comment. But I also want to state that a Chinese's surname is usually written in front of his/her last name, so I wonder whether the changing of her name from "Bai Ling" to "Ling Bai" is necessary. -greeneese, 9:51, 8 August 2007 (GMT)
- It's not. I'm changing it back. jSarek 10:11, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
Ageless Beauty?
Edit
Looks like an age discrepency for here, IMDB, and Wikipedia. It all shows October 10, 1966, while Wookieepedia has 1970. Can we get a clear number on this? Avid Soyak 02:17, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
