[edit] Flagship

"Lieutenant Oicunn served aboard the Venator-class Star Destroyer that became the flagship of Darth Vader prior to the launch of the Exactor."

It looks like that Venator was never actually Vader's flagship. The Databank article refers to it as part of a taskforce assigned to guard the contruction, and Dark Lord says Vader was just there long enough to contruct his lightsaber. Besides, it'd be dumb to call something your flagship when you know a new one is coming less than a month later. CooperTFN 07:08, 5 Dec 2005 (UTC)

  • We'd have to ask Nebulax about this (he's a bigger Fleet Junkie than I am), but I think any ship that has a high ranking officer aboard becomes the de facto flagship for the duration of that officer being aboard. It has something to do with lines of communication during wartime, I think: You want your requests for orders going to where your leader is.Tocneppil 16:47, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
    • That sounds right to me. For example, if Supreme Commander Pellaeon of the Imperial Remnant was onboard a Victory-class Star Destroyer during a battle, it would seem that it would be the flagship for the duration of the battle or until it was destroyed. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20:39, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
      • Right, and whatever ship he moved to would become the new flagship, a.k.a. the center of command. It could even refer to a captured enemy ship, ala John Paul Jones transferred his flag over to the Serapis after the latter ship holed his Bonhomme Richard.Tocneppil 06:02, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Actor

Anyone know who the actor was who played him? Kuralyov 20:09, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] ROTS

Where does this guy appear in Revenge of the Sith? There are a few imperials with Palpatine, Vader and Tarkin.OOM-10 18:13, 22 May 2007 (UTC)

  • I'll watch the film tonight and see if one of the imperials resembles him.OOM-10 18:36, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
