Since when was Revan the "Supreme Commander"?--Riansage 01:53, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

  • Since it was him that lead the entire Republic fleet maybe? Jasca Ducato 11:39, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
  • It was my understanding he only led part of the Fleet. Palpatine was Supreme Commander in his day. I don't believe Revan was given quite that much power. If he was, it's not stated anywhere.--Riansage 04:43, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
    • Well no offence, but your understanding is wrong. When Revan joined the Republic fleet at war, he took command of the whole thing, otherwise any plans he had wouldn't had worked. Jasca Ducato Sith Council Sith Campaign 19:20, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
      • No offense taken. However, the main Revan article on this site states that Revan and Malak controlled a third of the fleet. In the games and beyond, I've never seen anything more than a third. One third is nothing to scoff at. The entire Republic fleet would have to be massive. It's also possible the term "Supreme Commander" didn't exist until the Senate gave Palpatine the title. --Riansage 05:50, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
        • No, they took a third of the Republic fleet with them after the battle of Malachor V, but before then, throught the Mandalorian Wars they controlled the whole thing. Jasca Ducato Sith Council Sith Campaign 11:19, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
          • My main objection is the use of "Supreme Commander", a title not created until 19 BBY. It's one that would have to have been granted to Revan by the Senate. Over time, the position has changed names and meanings, but is basically head of the military. During the Kotor timeframe, that position was the Minister of Defense (also not Revan). Just my two credits. --Riansage 03:30, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
            • well when you think about it, Revan was the defacto Supreme Commander, wasn't he? I mean, he controlled the entire Republic fleet and was 100% responsible for its actions. he told it what to do, and how to do it and the Senate just allowed him. I beleive during the Mandalorian Wars the title of Minister of Defence just became a hollowed shell. Jasca Ducato Sith Council Sith Campaign 08:59, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
