Talk:Battle of Yag'Dhul (Yuuzhan Vong War)

[edit] Picture?
That picture comes from the New Jedi Order Sourcebook. But, there are some problems with it. First off, while it does indeed appear in the sourcbeook near the Battle of Yag'Dhul section, the picture depicts a ecent that never occured. If you read the actual battle in the NJO, there were no New Republic forces present at the battle. In reality it was the Givin defense fleet vs the Vong. While this is a beautiful picture, it does not depict anythign that actually happened. I vote that we remove it from the entry, while leaving it in the New Republic Defense Fleet article, which a small edit that removes the caption that refers to it as the Battle of Yag'Dhul. - It seems there may have been a second battle of Yag'Dhul in which some NR prisoners were taken(there's some in the camp with Pash). There's no indications the Vong ever started shaping the Givin, which they would have, so presumably they were driven off again? The Yag'Dhul prisoner/prisoners with Pash weren't Givin, because the message going through the camp was encrypted by a Givin brain, and presumably if they'd had one, they'd have used him when they were listening to the message. - Well, at the time the NJO sourcebook was written, there had been only one battle of Yag'Dhul. It is possible that there was another battle. In The Final Prophecy it is mentioned that with the liberation of Fondor that Yag'Dhul is finally safe. That seemed to imply that the world was in danger for some time, but not that it ever actually fell. Still, this picture is not representative of a actual event. It may of just been included on that particular page of the NJO SB because there was no were else to put it. AdmiralNick22 16:36, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
