Voice
Edit
Any idea who did her voice? I'm led to believe some other actress dubbed her for every version of ANH since the theatrical...Thanos6 13:09, 21 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- I don't know who it was, but yeah, it was dubbed. You sure the first theatrical run had the original voice? I'm not saying you're wrong necessarily; I just hadn't heard that before.--Valin Kenobi 01:29, 19 Nov 2005 (UTC)
- They what? Now that's news to me. -- Riffsyphon1024 05:52, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
Quote
Edit
The quote as is doesn't make sense, unless Luke thinks to himself in third person. I know I've heard the quote before, but I can't remember the source. Who was the one thinking that? -- Ozzel 22:40, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
- The only contributions of the anonymous user who added the quote for Beru and Owen's pages was this quote. Firstly, I don't think the same quote should be used on both pages, but also, I don't think it should be used at all unless someone can provide a source. -- Ozzel 04:57, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
- I have removed the quote for the time being. Even if we get it worked out, I think it should only go on one of their pages, not both. -- Ozzel 19:19, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
- i have reacted on yoru talk on owen's discussion page. go check it out. the source is from The New Jedi Order novel Edge of victory 2 Rebirth.

one of the first chapters i don't know the exact page number any more i'm afraid.
- the new quote... i really don't see the well importance of it, maybe the last quote wassent all thta populair but you must agree with me when i say that it does show how important the larses where, i hope to hear your reaction soon-Galedze
- Yes, but at least this quote was actually SAID by somebody. If you can find a quote, something said or written by a character, that better shows her importance, by all means do so. jSarek 11:12, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
- fine then do as you please but it was thought by a character so basicly it's all the same i mean the last quote did show that the larses actually replaced Padmé and Anakin in some ways. Galedze
- You're right, the idea is good, but there's just no good way to use it. -- Ozzel 05:49, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
- No, its NOT all the same. How many encyclopedias, or books of quotes, or any other real books have you seen with quotes attributed to "General Patton's thoughts" or "Albert Einstein's thoughts" or the like? If we're to maintain the conceit of an in-universe encyclopedia, we have to use things actually said or written by somebody. jSarek 10:45, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
- so what you say is that a thought issent counting in some ways? because if i am not mistaken everything that you say or write begins with a thought...- Galedze
- Again, I ask, have you ever seen a thought *quoted* somewhere? What you say or write may begin with a thought, but that doesn't make the thought itself quotable. jSarek 01:21, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
- I cannot confrim where but i have seen them yes, perhaps if we have a little seach party :p but i swear to you now they are there veen here on this veyr site. Galedze
- If they're on THIS site, then they need to be fixed, also. jSarek 10:17, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
- well then i hope you have spare time.Galedze
- What you seem to be forgetting also is that it's impossible to quote a thought, unless that thought has been written down by some in a narration, (as in the case of the "quote" in question), but then, it would become, by the very definitionof a quote, a quote of that author, so in the context of the article, that quote simply would not work. 95 Headhunter 12:02, 25 June 2006 (UTC)

- true but let's face it...all the words and lines in Starwars are of that author is it not? that's my point it aint 'real' so thats why you can devie a quote we discus as a characters because basicly there all made by the author.Galedze 20:56 ,30 june 2006
- We work under the premise, for "in-universe" articles, that the events depicted by Star Wars and the Expanded Universe actually occurred. It makes the articles read better and make more sense. jSarek 07:35, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
- And is a novel not all that.Galedze 14:09, 11 July 2006
Fanon addition
Edit
Should we include the details given of Owen and Beru's deaths in the "Troopers" parody? It's probably even less canonical than SW:Infinities issues, but it's pretty funny. It's not like it would cause a huge detriment to a well-loved character's article, anyway.... Jwebb13

- I don't see why not.--Lord OblivionSith holocron

- It's an unofficial fan film, so no. -- Ozzel 05:27, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
- So, not even under the Behind the scenes heading?--Lord OblivionSith holocron
05:53, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, that should be okay. I was referring to the main text. -- Ozzel 06:12, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

06:27, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
- It's a fan film (I believe from the late 90's) that parodies the "COPS" TV show by using Stormtroopers in place of police officers. They turn out to be responsible for the shot-up Jawa Sandcrawler (language barriers suck) and the deaths of Owen and Beru (drunken domestic squabble goes bad when Beru gets belligerent). Jwebb13

Name
Edit
Is there any source for naming her "Beru Whitesun Lars", or is that just fanon based on the revelation that her maiden name was Whitesun? Havac 01:54, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
- I can't think of an sources. Perhaps we should move it. -- Ozzel 22:35, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
- Good call, Havac. No canon justification. Unlike, say, Mara Jade Skywalker who is only called Mara Jade Skywalker after she's married, and never Mara Skywalker.--Valin Kenobi 23:21, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
- Inside the Worlds of Star Wars Trilogy refers to her as Beru Whitesun Lars.--Lord OblivionSith holocron
23:32, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
- Nuts. Well, even so, I don't think one source should outweigh the other several hundred.--Valin Kenobi 04:13, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
- What's wrong with it being her full name? Just because other sources use shorter versions doesn't mean we should overrule this longer one. jSarek 05:00, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
- Ditto jSarek. Keep it here if even only one has it. —Xwing328(Talk)
- Well, there we go. I think it was a bad call to go sticking in a third name where none had been before, but if there's a source, there's a source. 66.82.9.41 06:15, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
- I'm not seeing the conflict here. You think she was always Beru Lars?--Lord OblivionSith holocron
17:32, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
- No, just that she didn't keep the maiden name as part of her full name. But it looks like she did use it, at least sometimes. -- Ozzel 00:01, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
- Which is unusual?--Lord OblivionSith holocron

Age
Edit
How can she be "in her twenties" during Episode III while her (unsourced) birth date in the infobox is 48 BBY? LelalMekha 11:34, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
- Simple math, 29 in ROTS, 19 years later in ANH she is 48. So she was in her twenties in ANH. Simple addition.-—Unsigned comment by 69.243.183.33 (talk • contribs).
- Well you're absolutely right, indeed. My mind must have come undone when I wrote this, I fear. ^^ LelalMekha 12:51, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
- That year was based on the ages of the actresses, which is why it was removed. -- Ozzel 20:13, 21 November 2007 (UTC)

Which is which
Edit
Two skeletons, one on it's front, the other on it's back. Which one is Beru? I think she's the one on her back. —Unsigned comment by 68.78.79.221 (talk • contribs).
- We don't have a picture of it in the article, so it shoudlen't matter.
Sources
Edit
I was wondering if I could add to the sources, Star Wars: The Complete Visual Dictionary isn't on the list, unless I missed it. I was also wondering if a scroll box could be added to the sources, it looks a little large. Just wanted to ask before I started messing with stuff, since it is a featured article.
