Not sure if this had bothered anyone else, but the only reference I have seen for a beskad was a fan drawing on deviantart. Now, it was a fine drawing, but I think it was inaccurate as far as what a beskad would look like. (It looked like a short samurai sword.) Now that is definitely a possibility, and since I didn't write the books I don't have much say on the looks of it, but when I picture it, I think more along the lines of a machete type of weapon. The description given in the books states that it curves up to a point, but it doesn't suggest what direction that point would be at. Also, the book only mentions that the blade length is approximately 45 centimeters, and makes (as far as I recollect) no mention of handle length as well. As a warrior culture, I imagine that if the blade did curve "up to a point" it would be a point at the front of the weapon, similar to how a falcata curves to the front, with more of a forward sweeping shape than back. Actually, I think that to be honest it would probably have looked more like this Medieval Chopper and that as a utilitarian weapon, it would have served many a purpose. I have a sketch drawn up, but unless this becomes discussed, I think I will leave it alone for now.

• There's a page in Jango Fett: Open Seasons (page 6) that shows a member of the Death Watch holding a sword like object (I think the Death Watch page has the image) and I have been told that that is what people think it is. :/ D.Kaiser 09:06, December 5, 2010 (UTC)
