Edit
If my copy of Alliance Intelligence Reports does not have any typo, the word is "Bitthævrian", not "Bitthaevrian." If the second spelling appears in any official source, I think it should be specified in the article - Skippy Farlstendoiro 16:06, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
The Don's paragraph
Edit
The following was written by a The Don of DC on March 30th, 2006: These creatures were force sensitive, and were very smart. The Bitthaevrian were red and black colored species, standing to at least 1.8 meters. This person has had only three contributions: that, a menction at MarcK's User talk and an unsigned question at the Iridorian discussion page - which leds me to believe that The Don is not a great contributor, or that he (or she) was using an alias. The wording is confusing to me: "force sensitive" without a capital F or a hyphen; fuzzy description of the species as "smart" instead of "intelligent" or "resourceful", and a minimum height which is contradicted in the species's infobox. Further investigation of the species, including Alliance Intelligence Reports and Alien Encounters, suggests that the coloring is incorrect: A Bitthævrian can have different colors, as explained in A.E. pg 30, not being red-and-black guys. None of the two books suggests that they are particularly "smart" in any sense, or that they are Force-sensitive (There is no record of a Force-sensitive Bitthævrian individual; should there be one, it must have been menctioned in their RPG entries). However, each of the sources specify that they are Jedi-haters, which is not the most common tendency for a Force-sensitive species. Thus, after no little consideration, I have decided to remove The Don's paragraph, considering it to be fanon and/or vandalism. I however leave the paragraph in the discussion page just in case I prove to be wrong; if this is so, I strongly suggest rewording before placing it again on the page. - Skippy Farlstendoiro 08:17, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
Taxonomy
Edit
Are the Bitthævrian Mammals? They have quills likened to a porcupine or hedgehog which suggests they are mammals but is there any official mention? -- Frank V Bonura 04:22, December 29, 2009 (UTC)
Does someone need a biology lesson
Edit
What exactly does "embedded in the flesh" mean, this is said of fangs. Does this refer to their dentition or do they have teeth growing "ecstomatically" that is to say, outside or beyond their mouth,or whatever orifice is most closely analogous to it in this species? OK I went ahead and edited that part of the article, this is more of a mess than I realized.Sochwa 19:38, February 22, 2011 (UTC)
