Talk:Black hole

Back to page

How should we deal with the first paragraph, which is just as true for our galaxy as the GFFA? JSarek 06:02, 20 May 2005 (UTC)

  • It talks about a scientific concept, and as such I think should be in present tense.--Eion 12:22, 20 May 2005 (UTC)

"Cmon, you can get in a little closer!"Edit

Han made the Kessel Run close to the Black Holes! In the Star Wars universe, how close can you get to a black hole before it's to close to get away? Unsigned comment by 68.79.140.3 (talk • contribs).

  • I would presume as close as you can get to one in our universe. --Imperialles 17:03, 28 October 2007 (UTC)

If you go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_hole, it says the size of them. I can imagen that the black holes are Micro black hole in the Maw.

  • It totally depends on the size of the black holes and the performance capabilities of the ship, both in terms of propulsion and structural integrity. The absolute closest you could get would be the black hole's event horizon, but unless the ship could reach near-lightspeed in realspace and had near-infinite structural strength, the actual minimum distance would be much further than that. Note that hyperspace won't help you - the gravity well of a black hole is much too great to go to hyperspace without being so far away that you could escape in realspace just as easily. jSarek 04:00, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

Force-sensitives Edit

"Force-sensitives had a particular dislike and even dread towards black holes." Where does this assumption come from? It would be nice to have an example and a source, if one exists. Kjølen 23:31, June 23, 2010 (UTC)
