DeathEdit

What source says Boga died? --Master Starkeiller 12:39, 30 Nov 2005 (UTC)

  • The novelisation does, at least. Although I should note that, in that version of events, Boga twists herself in such a way as to protect Obi-Wan. --Fade 12:52, 30 Nov 2005 (UTC)
    • The novelisation also has the events from the films happen in different ways. Any other source? --Master Starkeiller 14:21, 30 Nov 2005 (UTC)
      • No other source from the top of my head, although biologically it would be an evolutionary blunder to be adapted to a sinkhole environment if the animal could not survive a simple fall. And if you watch the scene carefully, Boga is STILL YELPING as she falls, meaning she was NOT killed by the Clone Troopers, and she hits with a SPLASH, and (assuming she is a reptile) seeing as all reptiles can swim, I don't think she got killed then, either. --24.22.212.250 22:05, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
        • So Boga was yelling when she fell. Doesn't mean she wasn't mortally wounded from the blast. She didn't have to die instantly. And it's moot anyway, as the novel confirms her death. It's canon - \\Captain Kwenn// Ahoy! 22:08, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
  • Exactly. She may have died on impact. -- SFH 22:09, 11 November 2006 (UTC)

Yes, she's dead. The novel is canon if there is nothing in the movie to conflict with it, and the movie doesn't show weather or not Boga survived. End of story FinalWish 05:57, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

The Boga doesn't die because if she did get mortally wounded by the blaster cannon then there would be a mark at least on her and if u watch a youtube video of it there is no mark and she's fine Unsigned comment by 65.29.119.174 (talk • contribs).

or even watch the movie and pause reptiles can swim my other entry is the 1 above if u want to contact me about the mater leave your screen name on this page and write a note i'll get back to u Unsigned comment by 65.29.119.174 (talk • contribs).

  • You are not George Lucas. Therefore, you do not dicatate canon. The ROTS novel, which IS canon, says she died in the fall. The movie, which is also canon, did not show her survival. Ergo, Boga is dead. Further discusssion on your part is pointless. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 22:44, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

ChangesEdit

Hello. I added a concept pic of Boga and Obi-Wan. Let me know if it looks alright. I also added a brief discription of Boga in the upper half of the page, which, I thought, would be a good change. Kara Jinn 01:45, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

Size? Edit

Pardon my ignorance, but is that size right? I mean, as an avid Godzilla fan as well as a Star Wars fan, I noticed that the size stated in the article would put Boga's length as equal to Godzilla's height of 50 meters in the original Gojira (1954). I know that Boga was lengthy, but isn't that a little ridiculous? Is there a source for this? It's been a while since I've read the ROTS novel, so I could be wrong. Then again, your own varactyl article puts their average size at 4 meters long, so there's even some internal discrepancy here. I guess I'm just confused as to where it's stated she's that big. Boga apparently survived Edit

According to this, under the question "Were there any questions you left out that you wish you could have put in the book?", Benjamin Harper replies, "I did get to include the fact that Boga survived that fall on Utapau, a piece of information many fans will want to know since Boga was the true hero of Revenge of the Sith and a role model for people everywhere." Since the novel apparently says that Boga survived, what do we do with the article? Grand Moff Tranner Imperial Department of Military Research.svg (Comlink) 00:47, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

  • Well, what else can we do but change the article? Dr.Kermit 00:57, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
    • I don't have the novel with me; perhaps someone could provide a quote on Boga's apparent death? Grand Moff Tranner Imperial Department of Military Research.svg (Comlink) 01:02, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
      • How so? Dr.Kermit 01:05, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

Thats believable because the novel is crap,Ya i mean you have more evidence suporting her living than her death.I think i'll liste them.

  • 1.Obi-Wan survived,Hes human.
  • 2.Shes a varactyl,There reptiles that have niches for Utapauo.Surely could survive that fall if old Obi could.
  • 3.No marks on her,A mass driver is powerful but you have to hit your mark.
  • 4.That dude just said so.

Evidence that she died reason.

  • 1.The Barely Canon book said so.

So ya if you belive she is dead you are wrong lol. Sith-venator 00:21, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
