UnderConstruction

Bounty hunter was the improvement drive project for the week of 21 May, 2006.
See how it improvedOther improvement drives

You know, considering how many bounty hunters there are in Star Wars and how important they've become to the story, this article seems pretty small.Darth Ceratis 04:06, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

Historical approach?Edit

  • Should we use the list of bounty hunters and organize them historicaly? There's also the Gallery of bounty hunters if we want more pictures. Jaywin 06:25, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
    • Just made history section. Does this look like a good format, or should we just scrap it? Jaywin 14:45, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
  • If we decide to create a historical narrative, here's an outline to start with:
Old Republic Era Durge, Cassus Fett, Hanharr, HK-50, HK-47, Mira, Calo Nord, Twin Suns, Vossk, Zhug brothers
Rise of the Empire Aldar Beedo, Bossk, Bringe, Cradossk, D'harhan, Dengar, Durge, Kalyn Farnmir, Boba Fett, Jango Fett, Gorm, Greedo the Elder, Greedo the Younger, IG-72, IG-88, Jym Lang, Montross, Ona Nobis, Cydon Prax, Cian Shee, Garris Shrike, Larrad Shrike, Aurra Sing, Rum Sleg, Rango Tel, Beilert Valance, Sintas Vel, Zam Wesell
Rebellion 4-LOM, Beedo, Ak-rev?, Danz Borin, Bossk, Boushh, Chenlambec, Cradossk, Crutag, D'harhan, Dafi, Dengar, Vallikor En-Vahdi, Boba Fett, Jango Fett, Spurch Goa, Gorm, Greedo the Younger, HK-47, Tinian I'att, IG-72, IG-88, Dannik Jerriko, Jodo Kast, Bane Malar, Ket Maliss, Menndo, Dyyz Nataz, Neesh, Djas Puhr, Ree-Yees, Aurra Sing, Skorr, Slzzk, Takeel, Thuku, Feltipern Trevegg, Beilert Valance, Ailyn Vel, Kar Yang, Zardra, Zuckuss, Zutton
New Republic Boddu Bocck, Bossk, Boba Fett, Spurch Goa, Gorm, Jodo Kast, Dyyz Nataz, Ailyn Vel
New Jedi Order Bossk, Boba Fett, Tinian I'att
Legacy Boba Fett
Uncertain of eras: Taggor Bren, Chambamakk, D'Wopp, Yarr Gatonne, Tyrn Jiton, Andov Synn, Tantor, Moxin Tark Jaywin 17:15, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
  • Sounds fine to me. RMF 17:29, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
    • Ditto. We just need to be careful to talk about career highlights and not to give every bounty hunter's life story, as that can be found on their individual pages. --Xwing328(Talk) 18:10, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
      • I agree Jaywin 18:14, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
  • I think it's best to not attempt an all-inclusive narrative. That would almost certainly get out of hand—even if it looked like a good product after this improvement drive, it would certainly be carried away by some over-zealous contributor after the drive was over. I suggest that we keep List of bounty hunters alphabetical, as it is, and add another list: Chronological list of bounty hunters. The narrative idea should be contained to such pages as those about characters and ships. – Aidje talk 03:45, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
Maybe it would be an idea to add the years each Bounty Hunter lives beside each name in the alphabetical list.... if we know that info with any accuracy for more than a couple of them?Shadow Mask Prime 18:16, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
  • It might be an idea to Separate the Legacy Eras, as when I looked at it, my first thought was "Huh? Boba's alive in 130ABY?" Maybe it would be a better idea to put the Dates of the eras mentioned too? (Like Legacy of the Force Era(AYB 40-ABY 130), Legacy(comics) era (ABY 130-) or; Legacy Era (ABY 40-). Shadow Mask Prime 18:11, 24 July 2008 (UTC)

Genoharadan Edit

  • Aren't Genoharadan actualy assasins(spelling?),and not realy Bounty hunters?I think that the part about Genoharadan should be removed,but i need a confirmation.Ksssstr 12:33, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
    • Well, the main article for Genoharadan says it's a bounty hunters guild. If this is inaccurate, then it should be removed from the bounty hunter article, and the Genoharadan article should be fixed, as well. Then again, could an assasin be thought of as a bounty hunter that doesn't bring 'em back alive? Ah, that's probably a bit of a stretch, isn't it? Jaywin 22:13, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
      • I don't think they did it for the money, so I wouldn't call them bounty hunters. -LtNOWIS 03:26, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
        • If we go by KOTOR 2 content, then they are just a bunch of "death worshippers and assassins" while bounty hunters would just go to the Exchange. --Redemption 03:54, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
          • Hm.Not Sure.Assasins could be thought of as Bounty hunters that don't bring the bounty back alive,but it's not realy the same thing.I'm removing it,and fixing the Genoharadan article.If I'm wrong,i apologize,but I'm removing it.Ksssstr 18:16, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
          • In the original KOTOR, Hulas describes them as a "secret society of bounty hunters". Revan at one point asks how anyone hires them if no one knows of their existance, and Hulas replies that a select few know how to contact them. They may reward their agents with weapons instead of credits, and they may make initiatives of their own, but they are above all an elite group of bounty hunters. Probably assassins, too... the two are VERY similar. :-) -BaronGrackle 04:58, 8 July 2006 (UTC)
            • Thet were the secret police for Xim the Despot. Then after the fall of his empire they reorganized into assassins. But there more like exclusive bounty hunters-Assassins--DarthPhane 13:43, 28 May 2009 (UTC) DarthPhane

Jango's code Edit

I think it's canon, but IIRC, it's not a code of bounty hunting. It's just a bunch of general advice he put in the book he gave to Boba. -LtNOWIS 23:43, 19 June 2007 (UTC)

  • Yeah, I removed that section. Some of it was OOU, and while some parts were legit, others were just made up. And either way, it really only relates to the Fetts, not bounty hunters in general. -- Ozzel 03:50, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

Pictures Edit

Is it just me, or the pictures chosen for this article are not really that good? I think better ones should be used but I wouldn't like to start pawing the article unless I see that someone else agrees with me. Carlitos Moff 17:46, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

  • I agree. It could maybe use some more pictures to. Its disgcraceful that the most famous star wars bounty hunter, Bobba Fett barely makes it into a picture. Jawajedi 12:24, 22 August 2007 (UTC)

The picture with Bossk, 'Fett' and IG88 in, I actually think that is a pic of Jodo Kast..? Romizzi 18:50, September 19, 2009 (UTC)

Character classEdit

The class page on Star Wars: The Old Republic site has a ton of background info. JAF1970 16:09, 10 May 2009 (UTC)

Bounty Hunter "Great Hunt" Edit

Currently there is no page for the bounty hunter "Great Hunt" that kicks off the Bounty Hunter class in the upcoming BioWare MMO. Is it worth attempting to throw a page together on the event when the game hasn't been released yet? fodigg BlackRebelStarbird (talk) | 15:20, September 16, 2009 (UTC)

There should at least be a mention of the Great Hunt on this page. JAF1970 23:11, February 24, 2010 (UTC)

swtor image Edit

I changed the TOR image from the bounty hunter class "symbol" (used on the TOR page) to the one seen in the Deceived trailer as its closer to canon since it isn't artwork, and its a better picture. ░▒▓ Alex | Talk ▓▒░ 21:05, November 14, 2009 (UTC)

A'Sharad Hett Edit

Just added A'Sharad Hett to the rebellion era list. Any objections ? Taneth08 01:07, February 17, 2012 (UTC)
