[edit] Commando? Effective?

Wouldnt a clone commando be able to use a Bow Caster effective (Though I never could...) because of their "Inharent physicle traits"? Revan 06:41, 6 May 2006 (UTC)

  • There's different types of bowcasters. Some are automatically reloaded and can be used by weaker species (such as humans) that aren't strong enough to cock it. Others are manually cocked and only very strong species can fire it. Ryluk Shouja 07:52, 14 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Crossbow?

Is there any G-Canon source that says it's called a Bowcaster. I have only heard it been called a Crossbow in Return of the Jedi. And so far that's the only reference I heard for an actual name for the Weapon Tnu

Why? I mean, 'bowcaster' has appeared in a lot of C-canon now and it seems a fair name for the weapon. Also, the Databank's official name for it is 'Wookiee bowcaster'- the term crossbow (or 'laser crossbow', as they call it) is mainly a trivial name, methinks. • It's kinda the difference between what Luke would say to Han in that situation: he'd say, "Han, give them your blaster", not, "Han, give them your DL-44 heavy blaster pistol". It's apparently just a colloquialism - \\Captain Kwenn// Ahoy! 22:29, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

why does it says that the bowcaster is inacurate: in rebublic commando it can be used as a sniper whit a scope and all

  • Inaccurate has more than one meaning - Rylu, February 10, 2007
