Brentaal same as Brentaal IV?Edit

I'm not sure that they're the same planet. Anyone know for sure? --198.40.29.8 23:41, 2 May 2005 (UTC)

Discussion from "Talk:Brentaal"Edit

Is this the same planet as Brentaal IV? -- Riffsyphon1024 22:23, 2 May 2005 (UTC)

  • Judging from a quick look in The Far Orbit Project, I'd say so; Brentaal IV is the capital planet in the Brentaal system, at any rate. However, in most cases, I just see the planet called Brentaal, without the suffix. JSarek 22:37, 2 May 2005 (UTC)
    • Uh-oh, I think Brentaal IV might be a moon of Brentaal, because the Moons of Star Wars article links to Brentaal IV. -- Riffsyphon1024 07:15, 3 May 2005 (UTC)
      • Could be linked in error. Anyone have the primary sources read on this?--Eion 07:17, 3 May 2005 (UTC)
        • That was the way that TheForce.net's CUSWE linked it. I know, because I copied that list from there also. -- Riffsyphon1024 07:29, 3 May 2005 (UTC)
          • I'm not disputing that, but it'd be nice to get a direct novel reference.--Eion 07:36, 3 May 2005 (UTC)
            • I wouldn't know. I'm not fluent in six million forms of Expanded Universe. -- Riffsyphon1024 07:42, 3 May 2005 (UTC)
              • Well, what good are you then? ;)--Eion 07:45, 3 May 2005 (UTC)
                • I'm utterly useless. But I can sure do alot of monotonous stuff like getting all those damn planets up. -- Riffsyphon1024 07:47, 3 May 2005 (UTC)
                  • Yes, you're quite a good Wiki droid :)(Jedi: Shaak Ti) indicates that Brentaal IV is a strategically placed world, which would probably mean it is not a satellite of Brentaal. Brentaal is used throughout the timeline, whereas Brentaal IV is used only during the clone wars. First entry for Brentaal IV is 22 BBY, last entry for Brentaal is 3 ABY. But, Brentaal IV is used in more recent publications, whereas Brentaal is used in older, so I'm guessing a RW name change, which leaves us, yeah, SOL.--Eion 07:54, 3 May 2005 (UTC)
                    • Where does the info that Brentaal is the fourth planet in the system come from? This could just be another Telos/Telos IV thing (ret-conned in the recent Valance article over at Wizards) - Kwenn 20:47, 8 Jan 2006 (UTC)
                      • It's always been the fourth planet in the system, and the terms have always been used interchangably; for instance, Star Wars Adventure Journal 7 names the primary world Brentaal (no suffix) and discusses its eight continents and economics, and The Far Orbit Project names the primary world Brentaal IV and discusses its eight continents and economics in the same way. The latter book then goes on to discuss Brentaal's (no suffix) black market and Imperial Customs, and then gives stats for Brentaal (no suffix) that are quite clearly planetary, not system, stats. So the two terms are definitely interchangeable when done in context. jSarek 23:34, 8 Jan 2006 (UTC)

Satele ShanEdit

On the official SWTOR website it states that Satele Shan (daughter of Bastila Shan (KOTOR)) was born on Brentaal. Now when I tried to look up the planet it redirected to Brentaal IV. Is this the same planet? If so an article should be placed about Satele. here's a link: http://www.swtor.com/info/holonet/biographies/jedi-grand-master-satele-shan Venators 23:23, August 23, 2010 (UTC)
