Talk:CC-9600 frigate

Back to page

I just wanted to ask, where did the stats for the CC-9600 Frigate come from? As far as I know, none of the Rebellion ships ever had stats published anywhere, including the 9600 Frigate. All I've ever seen were fanon stats for the Rebellion vessels.

  • User:SkywalkerPL added them in. It'd be best to ask him. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) Imperial Emblem.svg 14:26, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
    • They're definitely fanon, although Rebellion did come with a poster that represented the strengths of various firing arcs and weapon types (Turbolaser, Laser, and Ion Cannon). Unfortunately, this information does not necessarily correlate to specific weapons or types of weapons, and adding them together won't get you a good total number. For instance, the main batteries on the ISD can either fire to the side or forward. So on the sheet these canons will be represented twice. Additionally, there's no distinction between light, medium, heavy, dual, quad, etc. configurations of turrets, so the firing arcs might only represent relative strengths and not any kind of true number at all. • And how do you know they're fanon? —Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) Imperial Emblem.svg 19:10, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
        • Didn't I just say? The only source material is Star Wars: Rebellion (unless some material is not listed yet), and there is absolutely nothing indicating how the cannons are divided up except for some information of their firing arcs anywhere in that game or in its manuals/posters. User:Tony Knightcrawer 22:50, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
          • "unless some material is not listed yet". That's why I said what I said. While they may indeed be fanon, there's the chance that they're not. —Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) Imperial Emblem.svg 21:53, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
            • Don't you think the user would have posted the sources if he went to the trouble of listing each canon type individually? I suspect he took the stats from the Warlords mod. So how can we realistically determine if there is an unlisted souce? Tony Knightcrawer 10:25, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
              • Have you asked SkywalkerPL or not? Guessing isn't going to help. —Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) Imperial Emblem.svg 12:02, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
              • Sorry, but I have no idea where was it from - it was very long time ago, I just don't remember even where should I look for it. SkywalkerPL 12:27, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
                • No rush. Let us know if you find anything, though. —Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) Imperial Emblem.svg 14:18, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
                  • The source is the Warlords mod for Homeworld 2 - this information should've been removed a long time ago. But I'll let someone else do it because I get the feeling that my edit will just be reverted. - Brynn Alastayr 21:04, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
                    • Jack's gone. Progress can happen now. Feel free to edit the article as you see fit. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 00:23, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
                      • I am going to remove "other groups (pirates, etc.)" and "Confederation" off the affiliations list. If the only source is still Star Wars: Rebellion, they're definitely not listed in that game. -- Tony Knightcrawer 23:33, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
