Talk:Central Committee of Grand Moffs
From Wookieepedia, the Star Wars wiki.
"Its successor organization was presumably the Council of Moffs." I'm not so sure about that. This committee was not a legitimate ruling body, but more akin to an interest group. The Grand Moffs here used their power to advance their own political agendas, not to actually govern, as the Council of Moffs did. --SparqMan 23:34, 14 Jul 2005 (UTC)
- I think any body trying to rule the Empire after Palpatine's death could be said to be legitimate; and I think it's implied that the Central Committee was formed to govern the Empire - else, why bother counteracting Isard's presence? And any ruling body, including the Council of Moffs, is guilty of advancing their own political agenda; it's what governments do.
And in any event, in-universe, it seems obvious that the concept of the Imperial Remnant being ruled by a council of moffs would no doubt have been based upon the earlier Central Committee. Kuralyov 00:14, 15 Jul 2005 (UTC)
