Lifespan of Males[]
How much more quickly than a female does a male Cerean age? Wookiee Jedi 05:16, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
I have been reading around the Wookieepedia studying the notable males. Ki Adi Mundi was 73 when he was killed. The statement saying the lifespan is comparable to a human's probably applies to the males. This---">Cerean males aged more quickly than the females, who had similar lifespans to Humans." probably needs to be changed since it isn't very clear. It probably should read "The males, having a life span comparable to the human's aged more rapidly than the females.Dra Krill 02:49, May 29, 2012 (UTC)
Near-Humans?[]
I read on The Completely Unofficial Star Wars Encyclopedia that Cereans and tons of other species are near-Human, dose that count as a source for near-human status?--Endor chicken

Ears?[]
I just noticed they don't have ears. How do they hear? so thats why they are not classified as near-humans. --Jackson31195 18:04, September 12, 2010 (UTC)
1:20 and not age ratio[]
Where do we get the idea Cereans need to reproduce because of short lifespan in males? In the Star Wars: Republic comics I read, it had to do with the birthrate of males. One out of twenty are male.99.188.36.80 20:05, January 11, 2014 (UTC)
Cerean Government is a Patriarchy, not a Matriarchy[]
Read Prelude to Rebellion, and use your eyes to figure out the gender of the council of elders. You will clearly see that the council of elders is 100% male, as well as the leader of Cerea being an old male Cerean elder. There is absolutely no inclusion of any females in the government of Cerea at all. The comic does not need to state the obvious that it's patriarchal.
The souce for the matriachal society comes from a sourcebook released in 2015, so that's the Disney canon and not real canon. So stop changing the Legends page to fit Disney era lore. Cerea is a Patriachal society in Legends canon, Matriachal in Disney canon. —Unsigned comment by 60.229.40.197 (talk • contribs).

- Actually, Ultimate Alien Anthology and The Essential Guide to Alien Species both say that Cereans are matriarchal. The comic does not say that all the people in the planet's government are male; that's just your assumption. Meanwhile, multiple sources explicitly state that their society is matriarchal, which absolutely overrides whatever your eyes may tell you. VergenceScatter (talk) 00:52, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
- I'll also point out that per our policy on Fantasy Flight Games, the listed source is a Legends source. VergenceScatter (talk) 00:54, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
Board game instruction manual are not a source of authority.[]
Your own post even says the story group never said they were canon. You just decided it yourself. A sourcebook for some pen and paper RPG is basically an instruction manual, and it is in no way a higher level authority than an actual in universe story. The comic takes precedence. The manual could have just had a typo. There is no visual representation anywhere of Cerea being matriarchal. You haven't cited any sources yourself, just linked to a wiki page for an instruction manual. Oficial Artwork in an official Lucas canon story should take precedence over words in an extremely obscure trivia manual.
Plus in the comic, Vow of Justice, also on Cerea, Ki Adi Mundi says that being a male gives him higher status in society. Males are highly regarded as they are so rare on Cerea. So there is now 2 comic sources for Cerean society preferencing Men over women. It's not a matriarchy your sourcebook made a typo. Sourcebook author probably never read Prelude to Rebellion or Vow of Justice. —Unsigned comment by 103.212.227.189 (talk • contribs).
- First, if you read my above message you will see that the FFG sourcebook cited in the article is not the first source to state that the Cereans are matriarchal. Additionally, regardless of what you think of our FFG policy, it is currently community consensus, meaning that it would require a vote in the Consensus track to overturn. So is this website about your head canon or the actual canon then?[]
Because you don't vote on canon and choose an obscure sourcebook that is literally wrong, especially when you have visual evidence to the contrary.
And BTW, I've seen this site and it's headcanon editors make mistakes before too. I read a Darth Maul Shadow Hunter page claiming he killed a creature called a Taozin, and I read the book and he didn't, it fell off an edge and Maul went past it, never said it even died. So you've proven this site takes things into interpretation. You interpreted that a creating falling off a bridge was Maul directly killing it, which was false. But this website says otherwise.
So how can you claim to be trustworthy here? Is this website just a [redacted] for a bunch of nerds trying to impose thier head canon on others. If there is a sourcebook claiming one thing, but 2 comics claiming others. Why are you so quick to revert my edit. Is there no debate. No question that maybe the sourcebook is wrong, or an inferior source. This reeks of corruption. A sourcebook is not a part of the Star Wars lore, it's not a story, it's a trivia collection. How the hell can a secondary source overwrite a primary source. A comic is an actual in universe story. It takes precedence.
How can you, a fan, just decide with a bunch of other fans that some obscure sourcebook is of higher authority than actual in universe stories. You are no higher authority than me. You can't overrule me. Who the hell are you to try to block me from posting because I disagree with you?

Page protection[]
Hello, admins. I put a {{Protect}} template on the page a while ago, but no one has yet responded. As the patriarchal vandal continues their relentless edit war, it would be great if some action could be taken. Thanks. SilverSunbird (talk) 02:08, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
