Talk:Chancellor's Suite

From Wookieepedia, the Star Wars wiki.

There isn't really an official name for this location (anything from Chancellor's office and Palpatine's office to Executive office and Supreme Chancellor Palpatine's office suite) so I just decided on this one, since the office was designed for all Chancellors, not strictly Palpatine (although Palpatine is, of course, the only Chancellor to actually use it) - Kwenn

  • Just found it called the Executive Office in HoloNet News. Should it be moved to that name? - Kwenn 08:34, 25 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Betrayal

Are we sure the office seen in Empire: Betrayal is this same office? It has a much higher ceiling, two windows (both of which appear much wider than this one) and there is nothing in the room but Palpatine's throne; no steps, statues, desk or fixtures. The doorway is also completely different - Kwenn 08:49, 25 May 2006 (UTC)

  • I just re-read the first issue and Trachta says he was in the "Palace last night", on the day after he met the Emperor in his office. Thus, this location is in the Imperial Palace, and is not the same office as in AotC and RotS. However, in #3, it's referred to as the "throne room", but looks nothing like Palpatine's throne room as depicted in other sources... - Kwenn 12:33, 9 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Dates...

It is said in the article: "The Chancellor's suite was constructed along with the Executive Building following the Battle of Naboo, during Palpatine's tenure as the Republic's Supreme Executive."

But as we can see, the Executive Building - together with many other buildings - existed much earlier, around 3,653 BBY. That's can be seen in Star Wars: The Old Republic, Threat of Peace webcomic.

Perhaps the Chancellor's suite was simply added after the Battle for Naboo. Neterwan 08:04, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

  • Originally I think the Building itself was meant to have been constructed then, thus the reason it is not seen in EpI. But now that it appears before, I have taken it as a retcon. Just my stance on it though. Purpilia 15:16, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
