Why was this name changed? It's clearly "Choka Skell" in the comic. Kuralyov 16:43, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
- I think Yun-Yuuzhan got confuzled [sic] because Choka is a Domain among the Warrior caste, and the last time I checked, the only other Skell encountered was an Intendant. -- SFH 16:54, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
- Inter-caste relationships may be acceptable in this era. --Elmira Val 20:41, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
- I think it's also possible that he is named for Nas Choka. Elmira Val's idea that inter-caste relationships could explain it is also possible. I'm not sure which side of the family domain is inherited through (Father?), but in this case it's possible one parent is domain Skell and one is domain Choka. Just my two cents, though. 14:56, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
- For my fanon interpretation, the one with the higher rank is the one the child inherits the name from, as a female warmaster back when probably didn't want a lower ranking warrior to give the name. Of course, this applies for Elmira as an OC too 'cause her domain name comes from her egg donor. --Elmira Val 21:10, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
- Or maybe he's just another creation of Jan Duursema and like all the other Legacy-Era Yuuzhan Vong, exists outside the bounds of logic? (no. That's not a real reason.) I think it may be possible for a domain to exist in more than one caste (though the only basis I have for that is Mezhaan Kwaad sticking Tahiri in Domain Kwaad but making her a warrior, and Mezhaan Kwaad was a heretic so it's no good basis at all.) I must admit it's bugging me, though it did cross my mind he may be named for Nas Choka. I don't think we've seen characters with domain names for first names before, but then again it's also possible they just sort of picked the name randomly. It my be retconned later if they want to delve into his actual history, but we may never know at this point. I'm a little upset that they put all the trouble into giving the Yuuzhan Vong such a complex culture and now they've sort of stopped building on it. Vongchild 01:49, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
