Should a notice be put up about the canonical discrepancy of Anakin visiting the cave?

I'm not sure if Yoda's vision is of what Qui-Gon would've done if he were still alive.. or.. what.

According to the other sources, the Dark Side Cave wasn't created until the Clone Wars, so Qui-Gon couldn't have brought Anakin there when he was 9. Also, there wouldn't have been time anyways, as Qui-Gon and Anakin went directly from Coruscant back to Naboo, where Darth Maul killed Qui-Gon. Thus, I highly doubt that Yoda's vision was of something that had happened in the past.

I'm not sure of what to make of this vision. This always bugged me...

  • I think the vision was merely symbolic. Remember that during this time, Yoda had been communicating with Qui-Gon, so maybe this vision was Qui-Gon's way of telling Yoda that Anakin's final test was at hand. AdamwankenobiTalk to me! My home. 12:47, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
    • And Yoda had already visited Dagobah at least once as of that time, so he may just have placed the vision into a familiar, Force-ful setting - Kwenn 13:02, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
      • Good point, never thought of that part. It makes sense, because there have been many times where visions present themselves in abstract ways, since both the Living Force and Unifying Force work in strange ways. Cool.
