Talk:Clone heavy trooper
Back to page
This should redirect to Galactic Marines. We already have an article, and the manual of style is horribly out of universe. -- SFH 05:49, 11 Nov 2005 (UTC)
- I have moved this page to the new location because of the fact that the unit in Battlefront II was not the Galactic Marines. Cmdr. J. Nebulax 21:31, 11 Nov 2005 (UTC)
- The title is simply an element of game mechanics. --SparqMan 23:12, 2 Jan 2006 (UTC)
- What do you mean, SparqMan? The name "clone heavy trooper" or something else? Admiral J. Nebulax 00:07, 3 Jan 2006 (UTC)

galactic marines
Edit
Unfortunately I disagree with the above. If the heavy trooper wears the armor of the Galactic Marines Commander Bacara, would that not make the trooper under the Galactic Marines? Also I happen to own Battlefront II, and in it the first phase of "heavy troopers" are "ARC troopers"!! So if you're going with the Battlefront (which already is known as often against SW canon) it's still true that a regular heavy trooper is an ARC, even in Battlefront! This whole thing was to make less confusion but instead I only get ridiculed. Ty 12:45, 13 Nov 2005 (UTC)
- Need I remind you that the unit in Battlefront II is the 501st? Therefore, it is not a Galactic Marines heavy trooper, but a clone heavy trooper. And as for the whole "is it an ARC?", it really isn't until a good source pops up. Cmdr. J. Nebulax 12:49, 13 Nov 2005 (UTC)
Redirect to ARC Trooper. On the SBII website, it calls it an ARC trooper in the description, as well as the strategy guide. Lt. 1993 17:37, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
convienent merge
Edit
Heavy assault trooper, Clone heavy trooper, and Clone trooper heavy weapons specialist should be merged, as they are about pretty much the same thing. You could add the images and text of all of them, turning them from stubs to good articles.--1upD 23:55, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
- No, because we don't know if they were the same. Because they have different names, they're staying as separate articles. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

More discussion
Edit
My thoughts on this are indeed that all three types are different. Clone Heavy Troopers seem like a way to get away from having the ARC Troopers that featured in BFI having to do something as limited as anti-vehicle work, so they might be a replacement - specially trained anti-vehicle clones. The Heavy Gunners (their actual name, according to the LucasArts site) from the ROTS game are obviously very different, having different style black-coloured armour and different guns. It's possible that the Clone Heavy Assault Troopers mentioned in Shatterpoint are one of these versions, there's no canon source to tell us that. Thanks.
- No offense, but we already know they're separate types. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

- I just found another posiblie variant, the flame trooper. Flametroopers carried heavy weapons, were heavily armored and also had cheek platings. The flame troopers might have been the Phase I variants of the Clone heavy trooper. If you want to see a pic (or i should say video) go to the cartoon network website and watch the clone wars: season two trailer.--ARC commander4 13:01, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
