Are these the same thing as rank cylinders? Kaje 05:18, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
- Short answer, maybe. The Imperial rank thingies seem to be sorta specialized versions of the same thing, but most of the time rank cylinders are called code cylinders anyway. Enochf 21:31, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
Sources
Edit
Why is it that the "find your lack of sources" image/text box is still on this page when it has 12 sources listed, no less than 3 of which are very, very widespread and credible (e.g. the encyclopdeia of SW stuff)? Just wondering... mrobviousjosh 11:42, May 3, 2010 (UTC)
- The template is there because code cylinders are mentioned in a lot more sources than just the twelve listed --Jinzler 11:46, May 3, 2010 (UTC)
Generic vs specific article
Edit
This article is about code cylinders in general, as a generic type of device used by several governments, right? Would it be proper to have an article specifically devoted to the Imperial code cylinders? After all, they are a particular model of code cylinder, just like a Model Q2 hold-out blaster pistol is a specific type of hold-out blaster. Furthermore, there are additional informations about the Imperial cylinder that would fit in an infobox, but cannot be added since the article is about cylinders in general—good old Star Wars: Behind the Magic provides us with information on their size, between other things. If no one objects, I'll create this new article. --LelalMekha (talk) 00:31, August 1, 2012 (UTC)
