[edit] Resurrection

According to the databank, the Galaxy of Fear story takes place before the Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina story. Does anyone know the rationale behind resurrecting such a minor background character off-screen? Why couldn't they have let Boba Fett kill him for good? Lieutenant Gerard 21:53, 6 February 2006 (UTC)

  • its because George Lucas wanted a longer story because he might of liked this character. But, I'm only guessing. Kowakian 1 23:14, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
    • More likely the authors of the two stories both wanted to use him, not realizing what the continuity issues would be. Lucas isn't personally involved in writing EU stories, though he is aware of them. —Silly Dan (talk) 23:18, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
  • City of the Dead really takes place after Doctor Death: The Tale of Dr. Evazan and Ponda Baba. I have corrected the entry.--Darth Oblivion 02:33, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
  • "As of five years after the Battle of Endor, Evazan was amazingly still at large. Baba somehow survived the transfer process, presumably in the Senator's body. Reports indicated that at the time he was once again seeking revenge against the "good" Doctor."
    • That's what it says in the Databank. Why would LFL choose to resurrect two background characters who were killed off in non-contradictory literature and haven't appeared since? Lieutenant Gerard 18:55, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
      • The mind-transference machine was only supposed to work one way, transfering one mind into the opposite body, while the other mind simply ceased to exist. And even if Baba's mind was transferred into the senators body, he probably would have been killed in the explosion. As for Evazan surviving his second death on Necropolis, I have no idea.--Darth Oblivion 02:05, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Cornelius Evezan's nose

What's up with this guy's nose? He calls himself human? I'm not one to talk, but dang, either he should be listed as an unkown species or somebody should take a look at his butt ugly nose. I mean, lets take the facts here, Luke and every other human doesn't have a creepy nose like that. Even if we don't know we should list it as a birth defect. He may be a human, but either he has a birth defect, or I doubt that he is a human. Seriously.Unsigned comment by 71.253.201.31 (talk • contribs).

[edit] Full name

I know we've seen him named both Evazan and Cornelius. What source actually reveals that his full name is Cornelius Evazan? --JMM 15:47, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

[edit] What really happened in the Cantina

Are people blind? Everybody is saying that Ponda is the one who pushed Luke out of the way and got his arm sliced off when its right there in front of you that Evazan did it. I don't know what Ponda's arm was doing on the ground but it did show Evazan push Luke a side and reach for his blaster! Watch close at the scene if you don't believe me.

Why did Evazan just randomly pick a fight with Luke. Did Luke give him a bad look or something? I also read the page on Dr. Evazan and the scholastic book of ANH. It states in the book Evazan's right eye is blind. Why is his nose pushed in if he just got shot in the face, where are the scars and I watched ANH, his right eye is not blind, but in one picture it did show he had no eye socket on the right.
