More info[]

  • I think it would be good to take most of the History section from Corporate_Sector_Authority and put here to provide a background. See what you think. - Finlayson 21:06, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
  • My belief is that this article should be merged with the Corporate Sector Authority article. - The Codeman 23:05, 21 Sept 2007 (UTC)
  • Hey they have some good information on NationMaster.com/Encyclopedia/corporate-Sector--DarthLake NR Seal (Talk) 18:28, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
    • Isn't that just the wikipedia entry for the CSA? We can't use that as a source, and in any case, I don't see anything there that isn't either in this article, or in the Corporate Sector Authority article. DolukTalk 18:00, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
    • Ya there is information thats not on either of them. It's the part ware they say that the reason why the Republic picked it was because it had lack of Sentient life.--DarthLake NR Seal (Talk) 18:10, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
      • Hmm, maybe I'm missing something, but both this article and the CSA article mention the lack of sentient life in the systems that originally made up the Corporate Sector. DolukTalk 18:15, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
      • Oh wait, I guess I didn't read your comment too closely - you mean that neither of the Wookieepedia articles mention that the lack of sentient life was one of the reasons why this particular ares of space was chosen, right? Well, we still can't use that webpage as a source, but when I get home I'll pull out my Han Solo and the Corporate Sector Sourcebook and see if I can find a source for that. I'm pretty sure it mentions something about that, so if it does, I'll make an addition to the articles. DolukTalk 18:17, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
      • I am just wondering if it would be worth all this should it be needed.--DarthLake NR Seal (Talk) 18:21, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
        • Sure, why not? If there's a reason why that particular region of space was chosen, we should mention that reason. I'll check it out tonight when I get home. DolukTalk 18:26, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
        • Thanks just making sure it was needed.--DarthLake NR Seal (Talk) 18:29, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
          • Well, I just checked the Han Solo and the Corporate Sector Sourcebook, and it says: "The Sector encompassed several hundred systems, all of them devoid of sapient life." It doesn't say anything about the lack of sapient life being the reason why that region was chosen. It's implied, but we can't put it in the article based on that. Misleading info[]

In this article, under history, the wording seems to imply that the Corporate Sector Authority was begun soon after Palpatine's rule began. When, in fact, the authority was instituted soon after the Sector was organized, hundreds of years earlier. I'm thinking that moving the sentance about the Sector's expansion during Palpatine's reign to later in the section might alleviate the apparent contradiction. I'm going to make an edit now and just wanted to put this in the talk page in case anyone looks it up. Medleystudios72 15:20, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

im confused. in some of the book it sounded like this was an indepedent gov, but this makes it sound like a somewhat special sector under the republic and empire. which is it? 69.115.204.217 22:50, June 26, 2010 (UTC)

Mentioned in TOR?[]

If the CS was founded by the Republic in 490 BBY, how is it mentioned in TOR? This is why I wish you could hover over a source to get a description of where and when it appears. -- Random concerned user 09:02, 6 October 2023 (CST / UTC−06:00)
