"They wear a light and heavy padded crimson and black armour..." Should this be "light and heavily padded armour"? Because surely something can't be "light and heavy". I'm not familiar with the Coruscant Guards so I'm not sure. --Beeurd 22:56, 14 May 2005 (UTC)

name Edit

I have included "Imperial Guard" as a byname for the Coruscant Guards, as claimed by the Pen&Paper RPG and several action figures. I think it was common to call them "Coruscant Guards" on Coruscant, but "Imperial Guard" on every other core world where they served. Or maybe "Coruscant Guard" even was just a nickname given to them by the populace of Coruscant? -- Tulon 21:55, 4 April 2005

• They're one and the same, basically. The canon seems to have a glitch here, as the official databank mentions the Shocktroopers from RotS evolving into the Coruscant Guard, yet we see the Coruscant Guard being around much earlier in the Clone Wars series. This could possibly be explained by the "early" Coruscant Guard being a detached military force on temporary anti-terror duty, whereas the later Guard becomes an officially sanctioned police force.--Lynata 00:30, 7 July 2009 (UTC)

Merging with the clone shock troopers? Edit

• Shouldn't we merge the Coruscant Guards with the clone shock troopers since they are the same clone troopers. We should also split the imperial coruscant guard from the clone coruscant guard.--ARC commander4 09:30, 21 May 2009 (UTC)

    • They share a single history, therefore I would vote yes for a merger. But even if this wouldn't happen, the Shocktroopers need to be woven into the article somehow - including a picture of their armour to bridge the gap between the Phase I armour and the all-crimson Guard armour.
