Talk:Coruscant Rimward
Back to page
- Accuracy check: the only reference I can find to this supposed planet in Rogue Squadron is "True, this isn't exactly Coruscant Rimward. It makes the Outlier worlds look civilized", from Mirax to Wedge on Talasea. It reads to me as though it might be a turn of phrase, like you might say "The New York of the Frontier", "Las Vegas on the Great Lakes", that sort of thing... --McEwok 17:14, 20 Dec 2005 (UTC)
- Update: the Unofficial Encyclopedia says pretty much what this article does; but the only source they cite is Rogue Squadron, and this wouldn't be the first time they'd got something wrong like that.... --McEwok 17:22, 20 Dec 2005 (UTC)
- " It reads to me as though it might be a turn of phrase, like you might say "The New York of the Frontier", "Las Vegas on the Great Lakes", that sort of thing..." That's always been my interpretation as well. I know of nothing to support the idea of its being a planet, moon, or even space station for that matter.--Valin Kenobi 01:02, 25 Dec 2005 (UTC)
- The way that passage in Rogue Squadron went, I also never thought it was anything else. Where did the idea that it's an actual planet come from? —Darth Culator (talk) 14:52, 25 Dec 2005 (UTC)
- From people who take things too damn literally. So how do we go about getting this thing deleted?--Valin Kenobi 05:05, 27 Dec 2005 (UTC)
- Through the VFD process, though I'm not sure it should be deleted, but rather changed to reflect the fact that it may be a turn of phrase rather than a real place; otherwise, it will just be re-created by other literally-minded folk or those whose only source regarding it is info from such folk. jSarek 10:28, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah. If this were Wildyodapedia, I'd delete it, but since it's not this should just be edited to say that it is a possible location and possible turn of phrase. In fact, since the quote not only doesn't mention if it is a real location, but doesn't mention that it is specifically a planet, I'm going to change that to "location" in the article. --Wildyoda-talk-contribs-
