Weapon TypeEdit

What type of weapon does this battery use? Shadow of the Empire implicitly suggests that it is a Turbolaser, which is plausible considering the size of the gun and the necessity to mount it on a tower. Any other ideas?

• This article implies that it is a laser cannon with the part saying that one model had two laser cannons instead of one, but another part (flagged as needing a source) says that the shots are energy beams that explode upon impact (logical for an anti infantry weapon.) A turbolaser wuld seem like overkill to use on infantry, and wuld likely mean it wuld be more effective aginst ATSTs and other vehicles. In Star Wars: Empire at War the turret is seen firing a burst of about six small laser shots .05 seconds apart, but it looks likely to be a gameplay aspect, so that the neatly arranged phalanx-like squads of stormtroopers fall down in lines.   • I just checkd the databank entry and it is a laser cannon with a rapid firing rate, so the EaW representation appears accurate, Shadow of the Empire may be referring to a variant of some kind that hasn't been specified, and deserves further looking into.Nebulon B freak 19:48, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
