25 shots?
Edit
I read that the clip was depleted in 50 shots in the Official Star Wars Roleplaying Revised Core Rulebook —Unsigned comment by 64.121.89.91 (talk • contribs).
- Page 135 (equipment) of the Revised Core Rulebook, DOES say 50 shots. SecondSight 13:21, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
Luke Skywalker
Edit
Doesn't Luke use a DL-44 in Bespin too? —Unsigned comment by 190.10.0.49 (talk • contribs).
- Yes, and other sources, including Star Wars: Battlefront II, depict them as being a standard sidearm for Rebel pilots as well. Jwebb13

- Incorrect. Luke has a Merr-Sonn Model 57 on Bespin (per SW:CCG). – Brynn Alastayr 19:19, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
- I added the information for the Model 57 blaster pistol to the archives. – Brynn Alastayr 19:02, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
Variants
Edit
Should there be an article about variants of the DL-44 such as the DL-44 XT DAWUSS 16:41, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
- I don't think so. The article's short enough to include them in their own section within it. Jwebb13

Owners
Edit
Should an Owners section be created? Totema1 23:05, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
Ejecting cases?
Edit
I don't know if this has been mentioned before, (probably has, thousands of times), but if you watch the scene in Bespin where Han shoots Vader slowly, you can clearly see spent cartridges ejecting from the weapon. I'm not sure if that's design or just something they forgot to iron out, but either way it should probably be mentioned, either in the behind the scenes section or as a part of the weapon's operation. - WJ, 20:350, 22 October 2006 (GMT)
- Those might be blank cartridges used during the filming of the scene.Tocneppil 22:31, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
- Those are the shell casings for the blanks. The same thing happens with Han's E-11 in the Detention Block shootout in ANH. As far as I know, in the Star Wars galaxy these blasters do not eject any kind of shells, it's was just a filmmaking limitation at the time. I don't think anything about it needs to be listed on the main page, the discussion here is enough. -KievanMereel 26 Feb 2007
- Remember that they use real weapons in the movies, only with cosmetical changes. —Unsigned comment by 24.42.7.137 (talk • contribs).
Range
Edit
The Arms and Equipment Guide states that this blaster has a max range of 80 meters. The current range might be specific for Han's modified version. Can someone confirm/deny? DarthMRN 11:54, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
history inconsistency with it and the Power 5
Edit
"and the Rebel Alliance due to its capability to penetrate stormtrooper armor. This caused the Empire to put a restriction order upon this model, restricting and technically outlawing the purchase and ownership of the gun. This caused other companies to take advantage of the model and capabilities, releasing similar but tuned-down versions of the 44's, such as Merr-Sonn Munitions, Inc's Flash 4 and Power 5."
If the rebel alliance caused these other companies to release the other versions like the Power 5. How could they have been designed and released during the clone wars?
"The Power 5 heavy blaster pistol was a blaster manufactured by Merr-Sonn Munitions, Inc at some point prior to the Clone Wars. It was a favorite of Nym's private pirate army."
If the Power 5 was designed and built during the clone wars, then the rebel alliance had no factor in its creation. Klgoertzen 22:37, January 27, 2012 (UTC)
