Talk:DP20 frigate
From Wookieepedia, the Star Wars wiki.
I feel like these Ships should still link to the "articles" (and redirect to the Bakura Task-force article. --Kosure 16:47, 12 May 2005 (UTC)
Quote: "The Corellian Gunship is one of the few dedicated warship designs produced by the Corellian Engineering Corporation. "
I thought that Corellian gunships were pretty versatile, and could also do some civilian stuff, like when the Tantive IV was a courier ship for Leia. I read that in the Star Wars Technical Journal.-LtNOWIS 23:41, 18 May 2005 (UTC)
Never mind! I was thinking of the Corellian Corvette.
- Okay, then. Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 20:34, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] DP-20 gunship
Move this like we moved the CR90 article? VT-16 07:06, 16 May 2006 (UTC)
- DP-20 gunship sounds good to me. --SparqMan 07:34, 16 May 2006 (UTC)
- I agree. Let's move it. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

- Seeing as it's the only one of its type, there's no confusion and I'm moving it... now. ;P VT-16 17:19, 16 May 2006 (UTC)

Isn't this the same type of ship Luke & Leia buy from Jorman Thoad on Centares during the Siege at Yavin storyline? Tocneppil 10:12, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
- Where is the Siege at Yavin storyline? A comic? Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

- Marvel SW. The old issues had alot of DP-20 gunship lookalikes, in different sizes and shapes. They were all referred to as blockade runners, basically because Massassi Base and the entire sector was subjected to an extensive blockade. Now, this was before they were first mentioned in WEG sources, but the designs all had the same basis, discarded concept art of the CR90 corvette. VT-16 12:39, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
- Oh, thank you. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

- The last panel at the bottom of page 3 of Marvel SW issue 25 has the best image.Tocneppil 21:16, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
- Too bad I don't have it. :( Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

[edit] DP20?
The 'DP20' model designation is fanon. There is not a single mention of 'DP20' or 'DP-20' in official materials, only in fan websites. Unless somebody can provide at least a single quote from canon sources, the proper model and classname for this ship remains unknow, and it should be called simply 'Corellian gunship'

- I'm positive "DP-20" is canon. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

- Where is 'DP-20' mentioned? - NobodyExpectsTheSpanishInquisition
- Isn't it in the Rebellion Game?211.30.161.57 09:08, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
- I don't have that game, but from what I've gathered from the web (Lucasarts page, gamefaqs, swrebellion.com, ...etc), I don't think so. Can somebody confirm it? - NobodyExpectsTheSpanishInquisition
- I'm pretty sure it is Rebellion. I haven't used that game in ages, though, but I suppose I can put it in later. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

- I just checked Rebellion, and "DP-20" isn't in there. It's not in The Rebel Alliance Sourcebook or Starships of the Galaxy either. Someone should check the ship profiles in the later X-wing games, which usually have this kind of information. If it's not there either, then it's probably fanon. JimRaynor55 06:24, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
- It's also not in the Dark Force Rising Sourcebook (or The Thrawn Trilogy Sourcebook), Galaxy Guide 9, the Revised Gamemaster Screen, The Isis Coordinates, The Truce At Bakura Sourcebook, The Last Command, The Truce at Bakura, or X-wing Alliance. I wonder where it originated. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 11:55, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
- I swear I've seen this in a canon source. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

- Yeah, but where? - NobodyExpectsTheSpanishInquisition
- I'm afraid I don't have the time right now to dig through my book shelves. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)
22:24, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
- Okay, SparqMan added in "DP-20" on November 23, 2005. Let's ask him. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)
22:27, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
- Any confirmation yet? -NobodyExpectsTheSpanishInquisition
- Nope. You could have just checked his talk page. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

- Actually, I'm the one who should be sorry. That did sound rather rude, and I apologize. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

- I've changed the name to "Corellian gunship", but there still a lot of "DP20" around... -NobodyExpectsTheSpanishInquisition
- I'll move the article. Unfortunately, it's going to take a while to remove "DP-20" from Wookieepedia. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)
