Infobox?Edit

What was wrong with the infobox? --Eyrezer 23:01, 25 April 2006 (UTC)

• 1) It held the stats for an ordinary, stock freighter where the article says that it's modified and 2) it held a picture which was never meant to be the Dalliance. —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 23:04, 25 April 2006 (UTC)

Many of those stats would still be correct though. The manufacturer, model, class, and line are all correct even if it has been modified. The usage factors are correct, as is the crew numbers as Corran and Ganner flew it on their own.

The word modified does not suggest to me that it has been substantially structurally changed. Rather it is a throw-in suggesting it has be played around with. The ship is specified in the novel as being a YT-1210 so it must still substantialy represent one. Therefore, I would regard the cargo etc as correct also. As for the pic, true, it is not meant to be specifically the Dalliance but it would represent the fundamental look of the ship.

In my mind the box could stay. There were already fields left blank where there was insufficent infomation. Perhaps it could be added in the sources that the pic is of the standard freighter. Comments? --Eyrezer 23:22, 25 April 2006 (UTC)

• Our policy for ships of a specific class is that, unless their stats differ from stock, they don't get the infobox. We also do not put pictures in articles unless they are of that specific ship. In addition, we try not to assume as much as we can and, as it is modified, it is not safe to assume any of the stats are the same (bar Manufacturer, model, and class), as there are many ships which are heavily modified to be nothing like the original. —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 23:33, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
