Talk:Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter

Linked to 32 BBY as opposed to 33 BBY as the deaths from the novel were already listed under 32 BBY and not 33 BBY.

Summary
Edit
I've finished the summary for this book, but since I have the Dutch version I don't know if every Star Wars-term is correct. Also the spelling and grammar probably could use some work, so if someone can help out with that. Please check out the Published Works project too. Thanks. $Michiel$ 18:47, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
Length
Edit
Gee, there more here than any book summary I've run across. These summaries should be culled down. I'd try it, but haven't read this. -Finlayson 01:53, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
- OK. Copied summaries to sub pages Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter/Mean Streets & Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter/Labyrinth to keep the work. The summaries on the page article can be cut down. -Finlayson 03:57, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
- This isn't Wikipedia. The great thing about this site is that we can be as detailed as possible and our readers can appreciate this. I think the longer summary should stay. :) Adamwankenobi 04:01, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
- Never said this was wikipedia. There should be some limit on detail no matter. Besides, that's why I added the subpages to keep the details. -Finlayson 04:18, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
- Also, the summaries should not be in scroll boxes. That decreases readability.. -Finlayson 04:20, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
- The summaries on this page do need to be cut down. I agree. Keep in mind though, all of the book pages and everything should be fairly long and comprehensive, because without the books and other media, we would have no Expanded Universe. Also, please keep the scrollboxes on until the summary is summarized some more :) Thanks --Xwing328(Talk) 19:06, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
- Sure, sure. No comments have suggested these summaries should not be comprehensive and complete; only a shorter. -Finlayson 16:33, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
- I tried cutting them back, but I couldn't get anything to sound good, so I just removed them and left the links. Maybe somebody else can try a summary if they think it needs it. Though the summaries on the main page are now very short ;) —Xwing328(Talk) 20:34, 20 November 2006 (UTC)

The Third story?
Edit
I was looking at this in the book store last week. There was a short story after Labyrinth that was a supposed to lead up to Phantom Menace. Couldn't find a name for it. Anybody know about this story? -Finlayson 16:01, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
- Are you talking about Darth Maul: Saboteur? --Xwing328(Talk) 16:50, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
- Yea that's it. Thanks. Gee, I missed that one.. -Finlayson 18:33, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
Rune Haako
Edit
What does Rune Haako do in this book? .... 04:55, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
- Not much. Basically, he just advises Nute Gunray on a few things. --Xwing328(Talk) 02:31, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
Red links
Edit
I created articles to remove as many red links as possible. All red links that are on the page as of now are because the book doesn't provide enough information to create pages for said links. Fank 20:19, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
Darth Maul: Saboteur in paperback
Edit
This story was not included in the Dutch paperback. If someone can confirm this, it can be placed in the article as a note.

Critical Reception
Edit
Should we have a critical reception section? If someone knows where one is, could they please include this in the article? Because I, and a great number of avid Star Wars novel-readers largely thought this book was horrible plot-wise (the most common criticism was the book repetitiveness of the main characters just barely getting away over and over again, and Darth Maul thinking about the same thoughts of how he had grudging respect for them each time). Don't get me wrong though, I (and many others in the chat I was in) liked the action in the book, but only two of the many of us even remotely cared for the plot. 129.107.81.12 00:14, 10 September 2008 (UTC)
1.2 Formatting
Edit
The page re-directs that are supposed to lead to separate plot summaries just redirect to the main page. I don't know how to fix them myself though, or if there is even the original plot summary still stored somewhere. 24.114.252.245 06:25, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
- Those two pages were redirected because they didn't need to be separate pages. The original plot synopsis was way too long and verged on plagiarism. I have cut and pasted some of the synopsis and cut it down. It sill needs some work for those who want something to do, but it is better than before.
