Don't quite know how to cite this, but the information about damage to Vader's personal Tie came from the model of it provided in a "Mighty Max" style Death star playset i got in the mid to late 90s. This kit came with Darth Vader's Battle Damaged Tie, and it showed this damage to the solar panel on the ship. Serendipitousus 06:58, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

- No it isn't. The TIE Advanced x1 article is exactly the same. A limited production fighter, not just Vader's ship. The other Advanced fighters are not like these and the TIE/ad is the TIE Avenger, which is also different. VT-16 01:25, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

- We don't have an article for, for example, Luke Skywalker's X-wing, since it's the same as other X-wings aside from having Artoo in the droid socket. Or Plo Koon's Delta-7 Aethersprite, because as far as we know it's only different from other Aethersprites in its paintjob. IIRC, we did once have that article, but it was deleted. In fact, we also don't have an article for Saesee Tiin's Aethersprite either, and it is substantially modified from the baseline model (though in that case, we probably should have an article). If this fighter were substantially different from other TIE Advanced x1s, it would merit an article. But as far as I can tell, there's nothing canon to indicate that Vader's fighter was significantly different from the other limited-production Advanced x1s. Red XIV 01:28, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

- The first part of this page states that this ship was built to Vader's specifications, which implies that there is something different about the ship. Too bad we don't know what it is. TK-299 (Click Here)

Appearance in TFU2Edit
Do we know for sure that it wasn't used at all after Vader recovered the ship up until the Battle of Yavin? That would be at least a year without use, or two, depending on whether TFU2 takes place in 2 BBY or 1 BBY. It seems somewhat odd that Vader wouldn't use it at all in the interim, although granted I don't know of any sources of its use, aside from the game, before the Battle of Yavin in the first place.
