Why was the Rebel Assault information removed? It does not conflict with higher level canon. --SparqMan 02:18, 1 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Is the Devastator the one we see blowing up in the background when Ackbar tells everyone to hit the Executor?--Commander Mike 20:49, 24 April 2006 (UTC)
- I dunno, but I think that it's the ship that Vader leaves at the very start .... 12:16, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
Main Image
Edit
Can we have a picture of just the devastator and not the Tantive IV with it? People that don't know the difference might get confused.--40pxDarth Tyler(talk) 19:21, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
- The main image of the Devatator is from an IMAX recreation of the beginning ANH scene, used in a documentary film about special effects. The creators used the ESB and ROTJ Star Destroyer which has a different bridge structure. Here's the difference. I believe the image should be replaced so that observers can see the original Star Destroyer model made for ANH, rather than the incorrect version shown.
The image on the left is from the IMAX special effects documentary which is incorrect, the right is from ANH, as you can see, the central bridge structure is different, which I think should be the main image.
If the right image isn't good enough, here's another to consider, which is accurate.
Thanks for all the details! I like the last one the best. I think the last one is the best. It shows just the devastator. I'll change the image for right now, but if anyone has any objections to the new image, feel free to remove it. But please say why in your edit summary or on tht talk page. --40pxDarth Tyler(talk) 00:06, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
Devastator SSD
Edit
Given that we have multiple ships with the same names in the same eras (three Vengeances, two Relentlesses, two Imperiouses), is it possible the Devastator had an SSD namesake in the Imperial Navy, as the blurb in Death Star hints? VT-16 01:58, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
Cause of Death
Edit
The article states that the Devastator is destroyed by an apperent starfighter concentrated attack, however if you watch the scene in slow motion you can see several shots from a nearby Mon Cal cruiser impacting the Star destroyer shortly before it's destruction.
- Does anyone know the name of this Mon Cal?71.34.173.197 02:08, September 21, 2009 (UTC)
Destruction photograph
Edit
What source says the destroyed SD from ROTJ is the Devastator as opposed to some other Star Destroyer? I never thought there was any actual evidence that the Devastator was ever actually seen in the ROTJ film.
Ultimate Sith Edition
Edit
Does the Devastator appear in the USE? Is it the Star Destroyer that captures the Tantive IV?--Gonzalo84 03:42, December 16, 2009 (UTC)
- Unless it is explicitly identified as Devastator, no. MauserComlink 11:59, December 16, 2009 (UTC)
WWII reference
Edit
Would it be possible that this was named after the US Navy bomber of WWII (replaced by the Dauntless after Midway)?—B-Boba Fett! Bounties collected
