"A de facto Moff"?Edit

Umm... Corellia has a Moff... so I can't see how the Diktat can be called "a "de facto" Moff". And, does anyone know how the succession works? --McEwok 21:30, 4 March 2006 (UTC)

  • I think that in origin, the moff of the Corellian Sector was to be head of the sector, while the diktat was to be the head of the planet. Still, the only Moff of the Corellian Sector was Fliry Vorru, and we all know what happened to him. His atrticle states it's unknown what his relationship with the diktat was, but I'm inclined to believe that Emperor Palpatine opted to scuttle the Corellian moffship in return for the diktat's vow of loyalty. -- SFH
    • But Vorru wasn't the last Moff, was he? And what, exactly, does a Moff do, dammit? It's never clearly defined, that I've found. They seem to primarily be able to call on Imperial military and paramilitary forces to ensure order and loyalty - while the Diktat presumably is the actual head of the local administration. Who was the Moff of Alderaan? --McEwok 23:00, 4 March 2006 (UTC)

Dumas Thomree Edit

I'm very sure after reading this trilogy that a former Diktat mentioned by Thrackan Sal-Solo involving a political scheme where Dumas had stepped out of his role. I think he was named after a member of the Bantam Spectra staff, Thomas Dupree. I'm incredibly sure, should someone else check?
