Ion cannons
Edit
What's the source for the three smaller guns being ion cannons? The Databank says they're lasers. 68.47.234.131 06:40, 19 March 2006 (UTC)
- The Databank has screwed things up before, but I think there's a source. Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 13:38, 19 March 2006 (UTC)
The only source is the databank and it says that there are 3 laser cannons not ion cannons.
- I'll change it. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

Maybe the Clone Wars version had retractable laser cannons -the small ones- I mean it is a valid theroy( I guess this goes here talking about changes I mean.)
Name change.
Edit
I say we simply change this to tri-fighter. Because the 'droid' bit isn't really necessary. And all the media I've read simply calls it a 'tri-fighter'. Unit 8311 20:34, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
- Why isn't the "droid" bit necessary? Of course it's necessary; it's a droid tri-fighter, not a piloted tri-fighter. Also, all the sources I've seen call it "droid tri-fighter", including the Databank. The name was altered during production from tri-droid fighter specifically to droid tri-fighter, so as not to confuse with the tri-droid - \\Captain Kwenn// — Ahoy! 20:58, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
- Agreed. "Droid" is necessary. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

Galactic Empire
Edit
Would there be to add Galactic Empire in affiliation? They're in the Imperial junkyard
- No. The Empire never used them. —Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

- There never shown beening used but dosnt mean un-offical they weanrt used to boost fighter numbers.
- It's possible, but without actual evidence we shouldn't add it. Speaking of which, is there any Rebellion era appearances outside of "Rebellion?" If not, we probably should take that out of the infobox. -LtNOWIS 22:08, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
- Uh, why? They clearly appeared in the Rebellion era. —Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

Speed?
Edit
Is the speed really correct, 37,000 km/h? Isn't that over thirty times faster than the speed of sound standard atmospheric conditions? The cutting edge TIE defender, made over a decade later is as follows: (as in the article) "The TIE Defender was in many ways far superior to any other starfighter of the time, having the advantage against the X-wing and perhaps all other Rebel craft (even the A-wing with its speed) in every respect, exceeding the X-wing's armament with its two ion cannons and two missile launchers with an increased capacity." And yet the TIE defender has less than 1/22 of the Maximum speed (atmosphere) as the Droid Tri-Fighter does. I followed all the Sources, and read the parts about the Droid tri-fighter (save the Incredible Cross-Sections. Maybe this is where it's listed as such?) and none mentioned the craft's speed in real-life units.
Where did this high number come from?
- RotS:ICS. —Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

- Curtis Saxton decided that more over-the-top impressive stats were needed, and it's reflected in the ICS books he's written. The stats for non-prequel craft like the TIE Defender have not thus far been adjusted to fit those standards. 76.123.216.96 04:55, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
appearance in darktimes 2
Edit
I think I see a tri fighter in the airfield. Should it be put under appearances?
I think it would be put under non canon, though, since the droids were deactivated.
- It resembles one, yes, but I don't think it is one. —Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

Appearances
Edit
I've removed I, Jedi from the list of appearances. Whoever added that must have been thinking of the Invids' tri-fighter.
Year of introduction
Edit
Should the year of introduction be moved to 22 BBY, since Jedi Trial has been retconned to being in that year?Taral, Dark Lord of the Sith 17:19, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
