[edit] Quotes
are way to big, i reckon we should cut the prelude one down considerbly, perhaps so its just from SIth Absolutes. Jedi Dude
- Well i think it is good ok see your point if their are a bit too much links :p i made it a bit too much :p so either me, or any of you can remove some links that fine but don't remove the quote i mean with all the quotes on the page we have the entire dialoge from the movie and well that's pretty... complete :p - Galedze
- But there's no point. This isn't a script; it's detailing the battle - Kwenn 17:25, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
- So in other words you say that dialoge don't have a purpose, in this battle perhaps the words are just as important as the Lightsaber battle in some ways is it not?Galedze 22:17, 23 june 2006
- No, take my post in context. Obviously dialogue serves a purpose within the film, but not here. This is an encyclopedia, not a copy of the script. It's excessive and unnecessary - Kwenn 17:06, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
- I'm afraid we do not agree on this, yes it is an encyclopedia but then again don't you find it worth knowing what they said?Galedze 14:44, 5 August 2006
- yes, but we don't need to know everything they said, quotes, not diologue, find me an encyclopedia that had bits of dialogue, wookkie is an encyclopedia not a script so it doesn't matter if you do not agree, we follow the context of what this wiki is for Jedi Dude 12:44, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
- This article indeed had way too much long quotes. Darth Kevinmhk 15:31, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
- how much nicer does it look now. Like a real article, not sum script. Jedi Dude 15:44, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Lava flowing backwards
- In the special features DVD, the guy who worked on this scene said he fixed that problem. It just seems odd that he would say that, when it still appeared in the film.--Darth Oblivion 02:37, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Can I expand uopon the article with more details?

[edit] Image
I just wanted to know (since all my images are crappy, I confess) if somebody could take a picture of just the scene of the duel on the cover of the Ep. III DVD case. I know somebody is probably going to have an objection to this, but I think it is a good idea, since it shows both faces, both lightsabers, a lava background and everything else in a good picture. --Darth Tyler(talk)File:Darth Tyler.JPG 02:31, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
- Never mind. I did it myself. --Darth Tyler(talk)File:Darth Tyler.JPG 23:16, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fall of Vader
Heres what it says under the "Fall of Vader" section of this article:
"It was then that Kenobi accepted that Anakin was consumed by Vader, and realized the Sith before him would have to die."
But this is before Obi-Wan instructs Anakin not to jump over him, thus trying to spare Anakin's life. I think this line needs to be removed.

[edit] gallery
The gallery near the end of the article is pointless. It need to go. Agreed? Darthchristian (Hey!) 3:54, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Mistakes - at least I think so
I think that when Vader tries to strangle Obi-Wan, he does it because previously he was disarmed by his former master (the sparks caused by the fallen lightsabre can be seen just as the camera switches from Yoda's and Sidious' duel to this one), and as the only way to deal with a still armed foe, he grabs his neck with his cybernetic - and therefore unnaturally strong and virtually inexhaustible - arm. Obi-Wan escapes with kicking Vader in the back, then Vader succesfully disarms him by kicking him in the chest (Obi-Wan lets his sabre fall because of the power of the kick). When Vader tries yet another, devastating kick towards Obi-Wan's stomach, the latter tackles him, then calls his lightsaber. From this point on, the text is correct.--Domlith 21:37, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
- I see that paragraph was corrected, so my comments above are out of date now. Domlith 15:36, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Casualties: Vader
Article says:
- "Darth Vader severely injured; power diminished"
I'm not sure how I feel about the "power diminished" part. According to Luceno's Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader he was indeed "reduced" by his injuries and being encased in the suit, but my understanding is this was a temporary thing he later compensated for by changing his fighting style and training in the sith methods. The above section, brief as it is, makes it seem permanent. A simple "temporarily" in there would fix the issue. I'll make the change but I wanted to explain it some more and maybe get some thoughts on it. // fodigg

- It is my understanding that by becoming more machine than man, his Force potential was permanently diminished from what it was previously. OLIOSTER

- I hear that said a lot, but I've never seen any direct lore to back it up. The "more machine than man" line in the movie stands out but... I dunno. I think it might just be widely accepted fanon. // fodigg

[edit] Lightsaber switch out
During the duel in the conference room scene Kenobi can be seen wielding both his own lightsaber and Vader's in his right hand. This happens as Vader is push the blade down to Kenobi's throat. When view from Vader point of view Kenobi is holding Vader's lightsaber but when it is from Kenobi's point of view it is his own. --JMasterWor 15:33, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
