1st mention[]

  • There is a brief mention in the 1976 "Star Wars: From the Adventures of Luke Skywalker" novelization (p. 50 in my Del Ray paperback): Just after first seeing the hologram message from Leia to Obi-Wan, Threepio says, " 'He insists it's nothing sir. Merely a malfunction--old data. A tape that should have been erased but was missed. He insists we pay it no mind.' / That was like telling Luke to ignore a cache of Durindfires he might stumble over in the desert." --74.248.150.196 06:49, September 25, 2010 (UTC)
    • Okay, I guess that those Durindfires mentioned in the book were supposed to be fireworks or somesuch, and not crystals. I was going to make the edit, but I guess that it's technically not correct. Although I believe one can argue that Durindfire has been retconned to be a crystal and not a firework, which makes much more sense. So, anyone have an opinion on this? Durind Firegem spelling[]

Where is this spelling found? I've looked at the Tales from the Empire and Star Wars Adventure Journal printings for this story, and it's consistently Durindfire gem throughout. Muscle6386 16:56, March 13, 2012 (UTC)
