In actual fact it is a myth that there were no native sentient species in the CSA.

The myth was perpetuated by the founders of the CSA so that they could effectively do as they pleased within the sector. They kept it very much a secret that they did find sentient species who were native to the sector, in some cases enslaving them, in others eradicating them should they be sitting on some valuable resource and were not suitable for enslavement, or the current financial conditions meant it would be cheaper to simply wipe them out rather than enslave or subject them.

In this case, though, I deleted both the original reference and your paragraph, as the nature of the Corporate Sector's absence of native sentients is really of little consequence to Duroon itself.
