How to trigger the Dustil side mission?
Edit
Ok, after finishing KOTOR, I decided to play it again the second time. Now, while I still have a chance to visit Dantooine, I got Carth to talk about his son. I was told on a walkthrough elsewhere online to walk around Dantooine's Jedi Enclave with Carth in the party so someone would approach him and tell Carth about Dustil.
I tried this already and nothing's happened yet. What else should I do? --68.102.193.78 05:33, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
To be honest I have no iota of an idea. However, most likely you are the victum of the "Red Eclipse" bug. You can easily vector in and out of it, but you MUST walk in a specific are for the informat to appear. I named this after a difficulty triggering the Red Eclipse attakers on Nar Shadda in the sequel. I repear, DO NOT use the zoom to Ebon Hawk button on the map! Walk to it and if you fufilled the requesites than the informat should appear. If not, than continue walking in the general area. ELV
Leave the ebon Hawk with Carth in your party on another planet and shortly after some guy will approach you much like some twi lek approaches you about bastillas mother. --Dumac 04:13, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
Problem Detail
Edit
I know exactly what you're talking about, but the solution is different. I just finished playing the game on XBOX and I remember that the friend who tells Carth about his son appeared to me on Manaan when I walked around the that Hanger Bay hallway where the merchant is. You might try and do that. I've played the game 8 times in different order of planets and the guy has always appeared to me on Manaan. -Kaveti6616
On computer the person is found on Tatooine not Dantooine and is a non scripted event i.e you must actually click on him for the quest to start and probably follow the correct line of script.
Dustil's Force-sensitivity
Edit
I've had a think about how Dustil came to be a force-sensitive.
First of all we know that there are two ways one can be force-sensitive:
1. Pure chance 2. Having a force-sensitive parent
It's either one or the other for Dustil. We know Carth isn't force-sensitive, so that only leaves having a mother or pure chance.
What do you people think?

- It never really says Carth isn't force senitive. yeah he's not a jedi or any other force user, but that just means that he might've been over looked. there are a lot of force sensitives out there that are just normal soldiers. And Dustil could have gotten it from both of his paretns. jedi_master425 Nov. 21, 2009
A bit of clean up and such.
Edit
Just passing through, thought the article could use a bit of grammar editing and a minor bit of extra information. I didn't add anything to the Force powers I hadn't seen him use in game, though I know it's possible for him to use quite a lot more (he may well have, and I just didn't notice him moving faster). 71.110.160.221 16:48, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
Date of birth
Edit
Does anyone know what Dusti's year of birth is? Or his exact age in the game? jedi_master425 Nov. 21, 2009
- No, AFAIK, it's a complete unknown. The most we get is Carth saying, "He must be a man by now," but what does that mean to a Telosian? 14, 16, 18? 18 is on the high side considering Carth's age, since he would have to be 20 when Dustil was born, but I don't know, that could be possible. 14 is on the low side since Dustil would have to have been captured at 10--he'd have been something special indeed to survive and show that much promise to Uthar at that age range. So at least there is a reasonable range of ages he could be, but nothing exact. 71.110.132.153 03:02, June 23, 2010 (UTC)
Affiliated with the Galactic Republic?
Edit
Where does that come from? We never see him again after he agrees to leave the Sith and meet Carth on Telos. How is that an affiliation with the Galactic Republic? 71.110.132.153 03:05, June 23, 2010 (UTC)
