Was this droid in Empire Strikes Back?-BobafettH23

  • They're were EG-4 power droids in Echo Base in ESB. ArcTrooper1138 05:01, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

Why does it show a picture of a GNK in the EG-6 page? Gonk123 (verobrain) 19:44, 17 September 2006 (UTC)

A reference to feet[]

I think that NEGtD may be wrong about the EG-6 power droid (they showed a pic of what others would call a GNK). If you notice, one version of the GNK's feet look exactly the same as the one in NEGtD. The EG-6, however, has different feet. Pilot NR Seal (Passenger Area) 03:52, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

Answer to GNK?[]

This article states that the EG-6 is the "answer to the successful GNK droid," yet GNK power droid says that the GNK is a knockoff of the EG-6. So essentially, both articles are saying each droid came after the other one. Which is it? Which came first, the GNK or the EG-6? --OuroborosCobra 13:04, 24 November 2008 (UTC)

You miss read the article, it says that the S9, a heavy duty version, was the answer to the GNK.Allurade Dendra 22:45, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
The GNK is a "knock-off" of the EG-6, implying it was of lesser quality than the EG-6. So the S9 was developed as an answer for an inferior product? It'd be like Henry Ford building his Model T out of steel and someone else coming along and making a car out of candle wax. Ford wouldn't panic and suddenly go out and design a car made of some carbon-titanium alloy. One of the articles must be incorrect as 'knock-offs' do not inspire the advancement of superior products in the name of competition. 173.64.194.74 06:43, December 11, 2013 (UTC)

Special Edition Gonk?[]

Am I mistaken in that the EG-6 aboard the Jawa sandcrawler was removed for the Special Edition of Episode IV? Maybe that should be mentioned, especially since the image in the article is from that very scene. If I recall correctly, naturally. I haven't seen them in a long time, more than ten years now (!). Han shot first, after all.

Gonk! Gonk!
