[edit] ESB Asteroid Impacts

There are a couple of frames in the Hoth asteroid field chase scene in ESB where TIE pilots are seen surviving the destruction of their ships (spinning off into space). Initially this was put in by ILM staffers as something for sharp-eyed viewers to catch in the theaters, but could be retconned to the pilots ejecting from their fighters prior to impact. Anybody got the Incredible Cross-Sections that might show ejector seats in TIEs?Tocneppil 17:28, 21 September 2006 (UTC) Öh... there is one and he is a burning corps that fell out of his fighter.

  • I thought that there were no ejector seats in a TIE Fighter, but Marvel pretty much screwed that around. .... 06:34, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
    • I don't know -the footage in ESB really looks like the pilots are sitting down (there are stills available in one of the old Insider issues), and that predates the Marvel Star Wars issues.Tocneppil 08:10, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
      • almost all sources sinze early 90s state that TIE fighters do have ejector seats (and for example that the craft is able to land itself anywhere.. contrary to someone stating that they were only able to land in imperial facilities)

[edit] Added Stub label

I added a Stub label, as i thought the article contained very little information about the ejector seat itself (such as keeping the pilot alive in the vacuum of space etc) Arachon 22:24 30 September 2006 (GMT+1)

[edit] Suit Sealer

I guess a suit sealer is a function of the suit that stops the pilot from bleeding to death upon injury (i.e. Hobbie losing his leg)?--LtCol. JuiceStain 19:52, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
