  • The metal is called phrik, if I remember correctly, and if not odds are it's cortosis. Phrik was used later in Dark Troopers as well, and a cortosis weave is used in vibroblades to strengthen them to be able to parry lightsabers.       • In Star Wars Clone Wars, Season 2, Episode 9 - Grievous Intrigue, at 13:25, you can see Obi-Wan using one while dueling Grievous, however Grievous slices both ends off with no difficulty at all. Prior to that, we only see Kenobi blocking strikes with his saber which is connecting on the electrified portion not the metal staff... Anyone have an explanation? Yeah I know it's probably just a mistake, I just was wondering if there had been a way of explaining it instead of just "they made a mistake"Thaxos 06:23, January 3, 2010 (UTC)
        • Could be a mistake, or it could be that since phrik is lightsaber resistant rather than lightsaber proof, Grievous's physical strength was sufficient to cut through the staff. — Red XIV ^(talk) 03:08, January 11, 2010 (UTC)

Obi-Wan duel Edit

When Grievous dueled Obi-Wan in Grievous Intrigue, the Jedi briefly used a stolen electrostaff after destroying all of the general's guards; however, Grievous soon cut off both ends of the staff. • Okay, I'm NOT starting a speculative or irrelevant conversation. I would just like to know how this could have happened when the staffs are clearly listed as lightsaber-resistant multiple times. These things I am posting are ALL for the purpose of updating information and effectively improving the articles, and it escapes me how such an intent conflicts with the talkheader. If someone would care to ANSWER my question with a valid reference, as this is an occurence worth mentioning, then we can find whether it was an error or some technique Grievous used. Other kinds????? Edit

In the previews for TCW S4 it shows electrostaffs (wielded by Dooku's droids) a different color, should this be mentioned? And also, on there clone cards on SW.com it says that Satine's guards used a kind of electrostaff, it didn't glow at all activated time, but it sure did spark on contact with B2s in "Voyage of Temptation", can someone confirm/discard my ...     • Skguy007, please take a look at several of our policies that detail what is happening here. If an official source indicates that an electrostaff is used by another being, you may update the article, and properly source it, without having to create a discussion topic in the talk page and then argue.
