Talk:Endor Moon Hoax

[edit] More sources, or should we lock this up?
If this term isn't used in universe, we should probably delete this article or redirect it to the out-of-universe page Endor Holocaust. If it is, more sources are needed than Tales #14, which is only semi-canonical and doesn't specifically use this term. — Silly Dan 01:43, 22 January 2006 (UTC)
The term is used in-universe, but isn't explicitly stated as being the same as the Endor Holocaust. This has been assumed using information from Ben Burtt's (aka Ebenn Q3 Baobab's) Galactic Phrase Book and Travel Guide. Cutch 22:18, 22 January 2006 (UTC)
- Over on Cutch's talk page, the quote is provided: "He fought the Kinkees with Captain Gordun during the Aerial Plankton Uprising, and was instrumental in exposing the Endor Moon Hoax." So all we know for sure is that Q3 exposed some hoax to do with Endor. He might have discredited the Ante-Endor Association's claims that the Rebel victory was exaggerated, or proved that the Ewoks weren't wiped out by the Death Star II. For that matter, if the Endor Holcaust were canon (and I don't care what the cold equations say, I'm convinced it isn't), he might've disproven Rebel propaganda about the Ewoks surviving. — Silly Dan 22:38, 22 January 2006 (UTC)
In keeping with the book's more humorous nature, maybe he was just using the hoax to parody the real life "Nigerian Banker" scam. The Endor Holocause just seems too serious a reference for the GPB&TG. - Toasty McGrath 22:50, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
- Or, perhaps the Great Moon Hoax or the Apollo Moon landing hoax accusations. Who knows? —Silly Dan (talk) 22:57, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
