Knighthood[]

Does she become a knight in Triple Zero, then? She'd be a little young for that... Yrfeloran 23:01, 3 March 2006 (UTC)

No, she's aleady a full Knight when the book Triple Zero starts. Evidently she earned it following the clandestine op she and Master Zey started at the end of Hard Contact. Triple Zero picks up 9 months later. I figure her age in Hard Contact to be about 18-19, and yes by normal standards that's very young to be awarded Knighthood, but there was a war on. You have to figure that Anakin Skywalker was not the only one to receive accelerated promotion do to their accomplishments on the Battlefield. Also, Bardan Jusik was a padawan in Hard Contact, but has achieved Knighthood by the time Triple Zero starts.

Image[]

Why is the image that was removed not official? Are some images from the Star Wars rpg books not official?--Darth OblivionComlinkSith Emblem 20:28, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

  • RPG books are generally official, but Etain has never been in an RPG sourcebook. -LtNOWIS 20:54, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
    • It does look like it was taken from one though.--Darth OblivionComlinkSith Emblem 21:02, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
      • Regardless, I think that an "unofficial" picture would be better than no picture at all. Zam-wessel 22:43, 6 June 2009 (UTC)

Not necessarily. Putting an incorrect picture there would be kinda misleading. R3 T3 14:25, September 7, 2009 (UTC)

I have a question. If we know what she looks like roughly ( green eyes, amber flecks, brown hair, head shorter than most clones, e.t.c.) and someone ( like on deviantart ) makes a pic just like that is it really not cannon? Sorry if that sounded dumb, I'm new and just had to know. (p.s. who else wanted to strangle Karen Traviss for killing etain off?)- Echostorm Unsigned comment by 69.229.127.14 (talk • contribs).

  • Unless it's drawn by an official Lucasfilm artist and cited as an official pic, then any other artists' interpretation is considered fanon. Trak Nar Ramble on 05:58, October 11, 2010 (UTC)

Okay, thanks! - Echostorm Unsigned comment by 69.229.127.14 (talk • contribs).

Woah! Where did that picture come from? I've never seen it before, does anyone have verification that it came from a canon source? TheFiresOfHope 04:23, May 26, 2011 (UTC)

Article clean up[]

Hi, while i've been reading wookiepedia for a while i only just registered to edit articles. The article says it needs to be cleaned up and i've just read the novels with Etain so i'd like to help as i like the character. But i don't know what exactly needs to be changed, i can't find an explanation. Does it say anywhere? Cheers

Philby 13:37, 28 January 2008 (UTC) How about a picture. and also, didn't she have strawberry blonde hair. once again do I have to find a picture myself. email me if you find a picture Terry.hobson2@three.com.au

This article reads like a bad fan fiction story. It needs to be trimmed. "blessed with a son" indeed! Katana Geldar 00:10, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

Mention in Revelation[]

Hey, I was just wondering, for the sake of wanting to know, how was she mentioned in Revelation? I haven't read it or anything, but would like to know how she was mentioned, and what was said about her. --Ashron Ket 01:02, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

  • It was just an indirect mention, stating that Venku was the son of a Jedi and a clone trooper. Later on, Venku is said to carry two lightsabers around with him, and it is implied that at least one of them belonged to his mother. StarNeptuneTalk to me! 14:53, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

Name[]

I found out something interesting about Etain's name. Etain was the name of a Celtic goddess. Does anyone think we could include that? --Kneazlegirl 09:23, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

Hmmm, are you refering To The Etain in Irish Folklore? I don't think it's Paticulary notable. However I, for one, don't mind if you want to add it in a BTS Section RC-1136 09:28, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
  • Etain left the baby with Kal and spent the day with Darman, who told her he felt it was not the right time to have a baby during a war. Etain knew at that point that she could not tell him he was the father. ? I was under the impression she had already told him by then. Unsigned comment by SargeLIVES (talk • contribs).
    • I'm pretty sure he doesn't know yet. He saw the baby and there was a conversation about what Darman would name his kid and she took that name I think, but he still doesn't know the baby is his. Philby 15:24, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
    • That is correct RC-1136 15:27, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

Grey Jedi Status[]

Is she a grey jedi? I didn't read the article but I have read Triple Zero. She condones torture and had a baby. Does that count?DarTah Ravin' 00:58, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

  • "Gray Jedi was a term, sometimes used pejoratively, that described Jedi who were thought to operate independently and often outside the strictures of the High Council." So no, probaly not. - Kingpin13 16:26, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

Kad/Venku[]

I just finished reading Order Sixty-Six (and I cried because it's so sad when Etain dies). Anyway, Etain and Kal Skirata change her kid's name to Kad, because Darman said he would name a son that if he had one. Can we change his name in the article? 74.74.249.119 01:33, 1 November 2008 (UTC)Maxi6

Well in the book they mention that Venku is still his name, they just call him Kad. Like with Kal, his real name isn't that, but it's what he goes by. Raxxum 23:12, March 17, 2012 (UTC)

Known Masters[]

We know that Kast Fulier was Etain Tur-Mukan's first master.

Arligan Zey also took her as a padawan when she remained on Qiilura with him to perform insurgent training.

DragonTHC 21:48, 3 January 2009 (UTC)

Talking to characters[]

usually Etain only talks to kal or darman. (i've only read the 1st and 2nd books so I might be wrong) I've never seen her tlak to any other commando.

3-06-09

Well that's incorrect, I've seen her talk to Omega, Delta, and various other Clone Troopers/Commandoes.

death?[]

As I read this article, in the intro, it was noted how a clone trooper she tried to protect during O66 killed her, but later on in the article, it said the jedi knight cut her in half. What one is true? (and why the hell would the jedi cut her down anyways? Was he trying to kill the clone behind her?) - Clonehunter 21:29, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

She was killed by a jedi when she protected a clone trooper. The clone was about to die after attacking the jedi in a check point. Read order 66 to get the full story.

NAME[]

  • Should we change her name to something like Etain Tur-Mukan Skirata since she married Darman and Kal'buir adopted her? FettClone1 22:25, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
    • Not unless we have a canonical proof. MauserComlink 22:26, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
      • what's that supposed to mean, it says in Order 66 that she accepted the marriage proposal and that Kal adopted her on the funeral pyre. Or do you mean that it needs to show up in a book? FettClone1 23:02, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
        • The latter, yes. Unless some official source refers to her as Etain Skirata, she stays this way. MauserComlink 23:06, 24 June 2009 (UTC)

got it, thanks for clarifying FettClone1 22:50, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

How is it pronounced?Derekproxy (talk) 21:28, November 2, 2012 (UTC)

Opening Quote[]

Would this quote be more appropriate for this article, or not:

"Your prowess with a lightsaber is childish vanity. Your physical Force powers are no more than a conjuror's trick, sleight of hand to dazzle the ordinary beings you should be serving. You profane these powers by using them as weapons in war. And you fail to grasp the single, simple, uncompromising duty of the true Jedi. The Jedi is the rock-lion at the gate who says, 'I will defend these beings with my life, and that is the sum of me.' Etain Tur-Mukan died to save one life, a man she did not even know, but felt compelled to save, and that is what made her stronger in the Force and a truer Jedi than any of you acrobats, tricksters, and specious, empty philosophers."
―Kina Ha[src]

It is a bit long, so I'm not that sure if it is better than the quote right now. --TallJediKnight(talk) 22:25, November 23, 2009 (UTC)

I think it would be better, seeing as the current quote is long in itself Laney97 17:01, January 4, 2011 (UTC) Laney97

I think just "Etain Tur-Mukan died to save one life, a man she did not even know, but felt compelled to save, and that is what made her stronger in the Force and a truer Jedi than any of you acrobats, tricksters, and specious, empty philosophers.," would be better because that's the direct mention of Etain.
