[edit] Elf

  • Would anyone else be in favour of noting on the page that her appearance seems to be inspired by/based on a Tolkien-style elf, and that the word "Fay" is related to "fairie" or elf, in other words?

  • That seems perfectly sensible thing to add. Go ahead and do it. QuentinGeorge 06:23, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
  • Okay, it's done.

[edit] Species?

  • Is Fay a Sephi? I mean they have pointed ears and live really long, except there is a bit of a conflict, she must be ageless because she used the force as a rejuvenator. So does anyone agree? Ruffles 08:13, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
    • Maybe. It's noteworthy that there are several other characters who have a very similar appearence to her, namely Aleco Stusea and Lourdes.--Erl

wat the hell is a near-human?? --Aron Skywalker 19:50, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

  • A near-human is either a human race with a distinctively different society, or a species that looks human, but has inhuman or unusual traits.I think Fay looks like a Hapan General Katarn 01:58, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
    • Hapans do not have pointed ears. QuentinGeorge 02:01, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

Two possibilites (that I have discovered so far) are Sephi and Morganian, if one wants to stick to already known species. Domlith 21:59, 23 June 2007 (UTC)

  • See Fay's Behind the Scenes for comments by Leland Chee on probable connection with the Sephi. I haven't seen the Morganian before though. Good catch. --Eyrezer 02:21, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
  • The Nagai have pointed ears, too. Dangerdan97 08:38, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Eye color?

Her eye color on the images doesn't appear to be blue...--1upD 20:04, 21 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] My edits

Please compare this paragraph I edited:

Fay's pointed ears, physical beauty, and great longevity seem to suggest that her character was inspired by, or created in reference to, the immortal elves in fantasy fiction and games of fantasy popularized by J. R. R. Tolkien in turn inspired from North-European folklore and mythology. This is also supported by her name fay/fey which is related to faerie, a term often associated with the northern European elves.

to the one in the present article:

Fay's pointed ears, physical beauty, and great longevity seem to suggest that her character was inspired by, or created in reference to, the immortal elves in fantasy fiction and games of fantasy popularized by J. R. R. Tolkien. Also, her name seems to be taken from the English word fey, which is related to faerie, a word often associated with the elves of northern European folklore and mythology, from which many fantasy works draw inspirations.

If you notice, they say exact the same things, only in different places. I think however that my version is briefer, more clarified and better phrased (the reason I made the contribution in the first place) but apart this, it doesn't say anything new.

Now, may I ask why this edit has been reverted twice? I was told that it needed citation, but as I said, it doesn't say anything new the older version does not already say, so there is no need for citation. And if indeed I happened to include a new sentence or information not in the original, please tell me what is it to find a citation. Thank you MoffRebus 14:33, 23 December 2007 (UTC)

  • I think that the second paragraph is clearer and is the one better phrased than the one you wrote, no offense. Please don't take it personally. 23:59, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Arkanian

I think she could be Arkanian, like Jarael... just a thought --File:BFguy.gif--Inmobilus 21:43, 21 August 2008 (UTC)

You sure? Why not? — Aiddat (Holonet) (Contribs Log) 22:38, 22 September 2008 (UTC)

  • yeah, I mean, look at their facial tattoos and pointed ears! --File:BFguy.gif--Inmobilus 15:15, 7 October 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Near-human status

I'm looking right at the Fact File cited for her Near-Human status (in the infobox) and I'm not seeing Near-Human. I see only "humanoid," which means "human-shaped"-- but any number of species are humanoid and not also Near-Human. Gonk (Gonk!) 16:57, 14 February 2009 (UTC)

I have one word: Obvious. Incidentally, do you think she deserves an action figure? ZeldaTheSwordsman 18:01, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
