If they only reproduce when they die, and they only produce one offspring (Taken from "When they die an infant (singular) pops out."), this race is either on the verge of extinction, suffering from a genetic abnormality that struck their race in the past, or... there is only one Filordus in existence.

- Or maybe they can also clone themselves, or there is an as-now-unknown queen that can lay eggs when the population drops. Or maybe the death-plus-birth process is almost unstoppable and the population remains mostly constant. As of now, we know there were several Filordi on 33 BBY.
