Writing
Edit
- Am writing this article as we speak. Should - hopefully - be up tommorow, all going well. Tam 20:30, 29 Nov 2005 (UTC)
Artillery?
Edit
I'm assuming all the units for both sides actually do appear in the book (rather than being lumped together because of the time-period), and this made me wonder: what are the artillery units mentioned in the main text? Vehicles or field guns? VT-16 14:18, 1 Dec 2005 (UTC)
- Mobile artillery vehicles, but we're given no further description. Tam 16:12, 1 Dec 2005 (UTC)
- Ok, I'll just add them, even if they can't be classified. :) VT-16 16:31, 1 Dec 2005 (UTC)
Unencyclopedic?
Edit
Does that first paragraph seem not quite encyclopedic enough, style-wise, to anyone else? I mean, it doesn't communicate the key facts about the battle quickly and concisely. And it has kind of an editorializing tone; it's worth keeping, but not necessarily at the very top, and not without more clear content. Gonk 21:03, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
Pax Empirica
Edit
Since this story takes place before an invasion in 3 BBY, according to its article, it must be a seperate battle. We need to take it out of this one. Unless the article is wrong and it takes place right after the CW. VT-16 07:11, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
Pellaeon's Involvement
Edit
Hello all. I have a quick question. Is there a source which says that Pellaeon fought in this battle (Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader made no mention of him)?? --71.237.226.3 00:49, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
Another image for the article
Edit
Star Wars Battlefront II has a good shot of a stormtrooper on Kashyyyk during this battle. It's at the closing journal entry for a "Line in the Sand" under Rise of the Empire. If someone could get a screenshot it, it would be a good addition for the article.—Darthtyler

- Stormtroopers weren't known before Clone Wars ended and Galactic Empire begun. And conflict you're describing was Battle of Kashyyyk during last days of Clone Wars.--Jedi Marty 13:42, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
- No, I'm talking about the closing journal log where it shows a stormtrooper on Kashyyyk and the clone says "and we would return as conquerors."—Darthtyler

The Force Unleashed
Edit
Would this battle happen to be the same battle that Vader found Starkiller and his father in, or were those two separate battles? I know Vader knew about Roan Shryne, but did he know about Kento Marek?LastJedi1515 01:04, 2 November 2008 (UTC)

- Galen's mom was killed by Trandoshan slavers, possibly the same ones that invaded during the aftermath of this battle. 173.180.89.129 11:58, January 11, 2011 (UTC)
First and Seocnd Battle
Edit
We should probably remove the reference to Battlefront II on this article. I think the "Years later, we would return as conquerors" line refers to the Second Battle of Kashyyyk. If I'm wrong, and that line refers to the First Battle (or both battles) we should clarify. I just think it's redundant that we have that line referring to two separate engagements. Though it is possible the 501st was at both of them, I suppose. Thoughts? Taral, Dark Lord of the Sith 18:53, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
- The "leaving as heroes" part refers to when the clones helping Yoda fight the Seperatists during the Clone Wars. The "returning as conquerers" bit refers to this battle. 173.180.89.129 12:02, January 11, 2011 (UTC)
The journal says "Years later", now if my knowledge on years serves me right the Battle of Kashyyk of the Clone Wars was in 19 BBY - just before Order 66, and apparently this battle also happens in 19 BBY, could someone explain to me why it says "Years later"? 3...2...1...ACTIVATE! 07:58, July 19, 2011 (UTC)Phthinosuchusisanancestor
