Talk:First Battle of Tatooine (Galactic Civil War)
Back to page
I've just done a major edit to this article, having merged it from three others. Please be courteous and do not delete the work or start a new page here. Thank you. Fellow wookieepedian: Wolfdog 02:51, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
- Ok, which one is it: Does Raymus pilot the Tantive or command the Sundered Heart? And which one does he die on? VT-16 16:53, 23 March 2006 (UTC)
- I got completely messed up before when I made previous mentions of his death. He does die, but does not pilot the X-wing, like I said on several discussion pages. While Colton commanded the Tantive, he piloted it and commanded blue squadron from the bridge. When the 501st stormed the frigate, he was killed when they entered the bridge. Poor guy. I got to like him when I first saw him in action in the game. Then he gets killed. A short period of fame.Lt. 1993 01:36, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
- Ok then, good to see it's finally settled. Which source mentions him piloting it though? (And it's a corvette, not a frigate.) VT-16 09:08, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
- A quote from Mon Mothma: "We have received word that the Tantive IV was captured by a pirate resistance force over Tatooine, and the Empire is sending a force to investigate. Captain Antilles was piloting that ship. He was a great hero and will be missed." So, he was piloting the ship, and the Empire used the pirate resistance force they eliminated over the planet as a cover-up. I'll add that to the article.Lt. 1993 13:27, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
- Ah, that's from EAW, then? Good, that explains it. Raymus (who features in EAW) pilots the ship and is killed, and his son, Colton, commanded the ship and got choked to death by Vader. That must have been an awkward situation: "Head for that planet, dad, uh, Captain." "Sure thing, son, uuhh, yes, Sir!" >P VT-16 14:33, 24 March 2006 (UTC)

Vader capturing C-3PO
Edit
The portion describing how Darth Vader captured C-3PO on Tantive IV, using the droid to help him access other areas of the ship--is the only source for this LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game? If so, we should remove it; it contradicts movie footage. -BaronGrackle 13:24, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
What's Non-Canonical?
Edit
Since no one has put a reason onthis talk page as to why this article is supposedly non-canonical, the template message will be deleted. Lucas Wolfdog 22:07, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
- Wasn't it due to some confusion about Rebel Assault elements appearing in the article? —Silly Dan (talk) 22:26, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
Many of the sources listed in this article are non-canonical and contradict either elements of the EU or the films. Once you start incorporating video games like Empire at War, Rogue Squadron and the Lego games, you're inviting trouble. Either separate the elements from those games as Infinities or label the whole article as spurious.
Source?
Edit
Praji requested, and was given a decree for his troops, from the Emperor, allowing those who could not supply a valuable response to questioning, to be immediately accused of withholding secret information—a form of treason— and be shot on sight. Several Mos Eisley locals, as well as their whole families, were executed thusly. Some tried to put up a fight, but this only furthered Praji's cause by justifying his murder of locals. Apparently, the order was extended to permit entire, unhelpful communities to be slaughtered in the form of incineration. The Lars family, adoptive parents of the to-be Rebel leader, Luke Skywalker, met their doom in this way.
What is the source for the info in this paragraph?--Jerry 15:52, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
- Might be fanon. I do remember Rogue Squadron: Battleground Tatooine having a recording of stromtroopers killing a random farmer (who turned out to be an Imperial informant) but nothing I've read said anything about this. VT-16 16:12, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
What?
Edit
I don't really understand this article. How do we know this really took place? Anchorhead base is S-Canon at best, and I doubt that Mos Eisley was in a full battle or just ended one WHILE OUR HEROES WERE WALTZING ABOUT. The Battle on the Tantive IV should be its own article, at least. Don't complain about canon issues, because that is indirectly conflicting with G-canon, in that, I doubt that Luke could have just walked up to any Rebel recruiting station and hop on the bandwagon. These shouldn't be merged.User:Vladius Magnum/signature
Aftermath Casualties
Edit
The article states that during the TIE Bomber bombing runs, dozens of people were killed, and many buildings were destroyed.
I'm pretty sure more than a few dozen people would die if you bomb enough to destroy "many" buildings.
Anyone care if I reword it? Holokin 03:02, 9 May 2008 (UTC)Holokin
im confused
Edit
I am confused. The book Star wars: the rise and fall of darth vader said that Vader followed the Tantive 4 from another system. But the Empire at war game said that the empire had to fend off pirates then capture princess Leia. Whats the deal? --Jedijake123 22:49, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
